actif group rise (ACT)

NASHMANN - 29 Oct 2003 17:28

can anyone please explain why actif group have had a 14.9% rise tday..When there has been 9,400,000 shares sold and only 204,000 purchased. This share has risen for the last month on what would be considered light purchase volume..100% rise in a month not bad...Any thoughts please!..nashmann

still cheaop at this level most of trades delayed yesterday so doesn't give idea
of buys/sells

beaufort - 14 Nov 2003 13:45 - 15 of 24

Doesn't seem to be doing much today. Do you think it is worth holding on? I came in after the initial rise yesterday morning.

gordon geko - 14 Nov 2003 14:10 - 16 of 24

nothing change since yesterday if you bought yesterday you either take you lose or hold on IMHO they are good value they delayed trades issue is causing confusion as the number trades gone thru is not the reality I dont have level 2

AndrewThomson77 - 14 Nov 2003 14:11 - 17 of 24

Yes hold on!

Buys have been double the amount of sells this morning. Price has been up and down like a tart's knickers this morning. Should rise up to 10p this afternoon and do well next week too.

beaufort - 14 Nov 2003 15:01 - 18 of 24

Thanks Gordon & Andrew. Will sit tight. Looks like a nice little company going in the right direction. Also a couple of tasty girls in the photo in Shares mag. Bad basis for investment I know...!

gordon geko - 14 Nov 2003 16:03 - 19 of 24

buys outweight sells on the trades that have gone thru by mopre than 2:1
yet the price heads south does this mean there is a big seller out there ?

AndrewThomson77 - 21 Nov 2003 22:25 - 20 of 24

Looks like the rise triggered by the Shares Mag tip triggered this sell of 700000 shares on the same day...

Bit of a bad week for this one. Any opinions on the next few weeks for Actif Group?

ACTIF GROUP (AIM:ACT) – 8.1p BUY

Shares in this swimwear retailer zoomed up to 10.75p after our tip at 8.13p (13 Nov ’03) but profit takers moved in, slashing the price to under 8p. Not to worry. Big price movements occur in little stocks and the underlying picture remains unchanged
