11 When is Antonov to occur the profit area?

We count on a significant income in the year 2005. Our expenditures in 2004 become according to my estimation 4 millions? amounted to. Between 2005 and 2006 after my conviction of the BREAK Even will be reached point. We earn in the form of royalty payments of our licensees. The amounts are with approximately 20 per transmission. According to conservative estimations we need incomes from 200.000-250.000 sold automatic transmissions for the BREAK Even. The market for small cars alone has a Potenzial of 25 million cars. They see that we will earn enormously much, if our patented technology will become generally accepted.

Our automatic transmission was developed specifically for small cars suitably and. In this form it is singular in the whole world. There are not really comparable competition products. Everything is patented, so that it concerns only the successful marketing now. I would not like to bore your readers here with detailed technical explanations. 5. Are there new projects in the current year?
There are plans for different new projects. Our technology turned so far primarily to the segment of the small cars. For this year it is intended, also the other half of the market, the manufacturers of large-scale models to contact.

Antonov develops new gearbox product for larger cars


Antonov plc (Antonov or the Company), the developer of the Antonov Automatic Drive (AAD), announces that it has completed the initial development phase for a new automatic gearbox, to be known as the DCA (Dual Clutch Antonov). The DCA encompasses fundamental new inventions for which patent protection has been applied. It is designed for larger (+2 litre) automatic drive motor vehicles and can have six, seven or even more speeds if required.

The DCA is now in the prototype development stage. The Company will launch a prototype fitted in a car at the Paris Motor Show in late September 2004.

The Company is now positioned to offer the motor industry a complete range of automatic gearboxes, i.e.:

the AAD range for smaller cars with torque capacities of less than 250 NMs.

the DCA range for motor vehicle with torque capacities greater than 250 NMs.

The new automatic gearbox, which is based on a dual clutch design, is expected to be both smaller and lighter than existing offerings. These advantages translate into a wider application base and lower manufacturing costs. The design is also easily adaptable to four-wheel drive applications, which will for the first time allow Antonov to target the expanding SUV market. It is also suitable for installation in high-speed direct injection diesel engined motor vehicles, another rapidly expanding market segment.

As part of the Companys evolving strategy, the DCA will also be developed as a manual gearbox, again with the option of six, seven or even more speeds. The main attraction of the manual DCA will be its small size and lower weight when compared to existing manual gearboxes. From a manufacturing point of view an important advantage will be the large number of common components that it will share with the automatic DCA, which will positively influence the costs of both units.

Roumen Antonov, the Companys Chairman, said: With the launch of the DCA gearbox we will for the first time be targeting the larger car market, an area where automatic gearboxes already predominate. We also expect that automatic dual clutch gearboxes, because of their inherent advances over conventional automatic gearboxes, will increasingly replace conventional gearboxes. This new development therefore strengthens our commercial position considerably and more than doubles our potential customer base.

Antonov to co-operate with Rotrex


Antonov plc, the developer of a range of unique automatic gearboxes, is pleased to announce that it is working with Rotrex A/S, a member of the A.P Moller Group, the largest Danish group of companies, to commercialise Antonovs new two and three speed fully mechanical automatic gearboxes. The new gearboxes, to be known as the Antonov Mechanical Module or AMM, will be used in both automotive and non-automotive applications in combination with a Rotrex supercharger.

The AMM is based on Antonovs patented technology. The AMM is a small stand-alone, self-supporting step up drive module, which will be used to adapt engine output to the optimum required input of a supercharger and also potentially of the generator. This will significantly improve the efficiency of both devices at a very competitive cost.

Rotrex has been involved in the development of OEM supercharger applications since 1997 and has grown its aftermarket supercharger business organically. It counts all the major European automotive OEMs amongst its customers. Rotrex is the developer and manufacturer of superchargers for engine capacities ranging from 0.2 litre to more than 6.0 litre. The unique Rotrex supercharger replaces current turbo- and supercharger technologies, and will also be used to boost engines currently under development.

The AMM and Rotrex supercharger combination will be applied in the areas such as:

. High performance engine applications

. Engine downsizing

. Multi-stage boosting

. Hybrid engine boosting

Antonov and Rotrex have already made a number of joint presentations to prospective customers for both automotive and non-automotive applications. The joint product offering has been well received, with the next step in the sales process being the demonstration of the efficacy of the system through the development of a fully operational prototype. The first AMM prototype is nearly completed and will be delivered to Rotrex in the very near future.

Sitma, an existing Antonov licensee, will manufacture the AMM. They are a producer of small-specialised gearboxes, focusing on sports performance applications. Sitma have confirmed that they will be in a position to meet the initial expected demand for the AMM.

The Antonov and Rotrex combined product offering will be presented at the Paris Motor Show in late September 2004.

Roumen Antonov, Antonovs Chairman, said: While automotive transmission applications remain the Company's primary area of focus, the launch of this new product demonstrates our ability to adapt Antonov's innovative technology to new markets. This diversification considerably increases our potential customer base and our co-operation with Rotrex will enable us to target profitable commercial opportunities in this sector. The development of the AMM offers significant sales opportunities and the board expects material orders to follow in due course."
