Just like the old saying 'you don't have to be mad to work here........................'
Good luck and on days like today you will need it :-))
I make me livin` out of a few good horses a year and use the market as a tax loss. didn`t intend to but the manipulators always seem to downtrend my hopefulls. Have a fiver on Marching Song at Folkestone tomorrow evening and see how easy it can be ??? NO GUARANTEES mind you. Again, you have to do your own research !!!
Funny that you should say that Snakey. As a bit of fun, I began to subscribe to a horse tipster. I am amazed how successful it has been. I have upped the size of my bets now and though it's still early days I actually think I can make a decent income from it.
I've always been wary of gambling on horses but it proves that with the right selection and good money management you can make a success of it.
Sorry SW. That would telling. The more that back the horse the smaller price I get. You understand.
But they are out there. Just don't throw them in the bin. Give them a try and see if it works for you, but find one that you can try before you buy.
I do very well from the markets but despite that, people ignore what I say. It would appear that dreaming is an important part of making money from markets and hard work and sensible strategies are for losers who have only been going fourteen years or so!
Scrip - it is of course important that lots of newcomers and others fail to listen, and remain as losers. The winners need there to be a plenty of losers putting their money on the table for the winners to take away ;o)
Harlosh,
the only difference is that in this game, the horse is always running (until company goes bust), so you can have lengthy (years) of fun playing a share.
Marching Song home and dry at 11/10
good luck with shares and nags
