Annual General Meeting will beheld at the offices of Smith and Williamson, No 1 Riding House Street,London W1A 3AS on the 15th September 2005 at 2.00pm. SHARE MAGAZINE 1st September 2005! NWD puts the difficult years behind it NWD (NWD:AIM) Interims PTP 0.16m (-0.23m) Divi n/a After some difficult years, the below-the-line marketing group may be turning a corner now it has swung into profit. This was achieved by increasing sales by a third. NWD says it is now less reliant on a small number of large clients which gives the group confidence of continuing to be profitable in the second half. All of the main operating companies are trading profitably and the group has won a further 1 million contract since the end of the period. Shares says: Worth another look. GROWTH COMPANY INVESTOR July 2005: For those who like more speculative action, NWD is a turnaround penny share outfit worth a look. The groups 2004 numbers reflected tricky trading, restructuring and acquisitions, as well as a fundraising to restore balance sheet fortitude. But chief executive Stephen Stroud is turning this small ship around, and NWD has traded profitably in 2005. The current share price could reward the brave ahead of the upcoming interims. June 2005 Kicking into the black Aussie kickboxing and snowboarding enthusiast Stephen Stroud, of AIM quoted NWD, has re-shaped the marketing services business and says 2005 will be a successful year. The energetic Stroud, previously with WPP constituent Mindshare and tobacco giant BAT, was handed the operations chiefs baton in April to kick on restructuring at NWD. Assisted by fellow ex-BAT man Nigel Gourlay, he is on a buy-and-build mission, to bag established profitable ventures and drive synergy and cross-selling, and will only consider ambitious, hungry ventures. Last Septembers acquisition, Clinic, works with brands like Sky and Virgin, and boasts a hungry, youth-focused operation called Small Japanese Soldier. Other companies include corporate communications specialist TwentyFirstCentury Communications and internal communications specialist The Alternative Agency. Last year's losses were 1.4 million on 6.6 million sales, but this was NWDs first full year as a marketing services business, and Stroud claims NWD is off to a flyer in 2005, with all the main operating companies trading profitability. My Thoughts as of 1st September 2005 - So the interims finally show that NWD has turned the corner and we can look forward to the share price reflecting that fact. The interims produced a maiden profit for the group and with a further 1m contract in the bag since, I am very confident that the grp will maintain and improve to produce a full yr maiden profit. Plenty of other good things in the pipeline and expect further acquisitions soon!
