Thanks to Paul and Baza for that one.
So it wasn't a leak after all. It was released news.
Only question is, if it is significant, why wasn't it released by SEO?
Makes ii's synopsis look a bit wrong though.
Still happy for the long term.

.......and the feeling is that there is more to come later this week or next.

Not based on facts though.

hewittalan6 - 10 Jan 2006 08:57 - 14009 of 27111

Not sure, myself, Baza.
I would have thought all the good news (if any) will be stored up to sweeten results that we know will not be good.
Again, not based on fact, just how I'd play it in SEO's position.

When are the results due out - early Feb ??

hewittalan6 - 10 Jan 2006 09:24 - 14011 of 27111

Something like that. Unless its an instant revenue generator or drain then I think SEO can get away with not releasing the news till then.
We know the results will be poor (though I believe not as poor as some think) and this is probably built into the price now, but SEO may wish to hedge their bets on price movements by keeping a bit of solid good news back to support a forecast of a good 2006.
Just my opinion, and probably worthless.

hewittalan6 - 10 Jan 2006 09:27 - 14012 of 27111

PS
May also be to distract from behind schedule rollout of Greenseal, or a bad day in court, or a number of other negatives.
Nothing like having a positive to take the heat off a negative RNS.

hewittalan6 - 10 Jan 2006 09:29 - 14013 of 27111

PPS
Not feeling bearish though. Still feel fairly bullish, but whatever the feeling, I try to temper it with a touch of realism. Works for me.

Never a bad thing Alan! Should still hear more hopefully, PMs comments seem to make sense time wise if we get an RNS tomorrow, falling back on friday from profit taking.

I think PM has the same rumours-dunno whether thats bad or good! ;-)

Bugz - 10 Jan 2006 09:44 - 14015 of 27111

Just noted 300K of stock going through as a 'L' Trade-whats that?!

IanT(MoneyAM) - 10 Jan 2006 09:46 - 14016 of 27111

bugz,

The L denotes a Late trade -due to the fact it was a large trade. - If you go to the trades section of the help page, you will be abel to see a list of these abbreviation,

Ian

Cheers Ian! (Any chance of getting a quick trial with Terminal?)

bhunt1910 - 10 Jan 2006 10:11 - 14018 of 27111

You will also notice that the 300k shares were promply sold this morning at a nice profit at 16p. There is bound to be some of that going on

Alan - I think you may well be right - I agree with you - if I was managing the company - I would try and hold back some good news to temper any bad bews in the pipeline - good thinking

nice to see blue again , but is anybody else concerned that there is little volume behind the latest price rise?

Big names benefit as WRAP funds future (10 January 2006)

Several companies not named, so are SEO in the running
Household names Heinz and Marks & Spencer are among the beneficiaries of the latest raft of grants awarded designed to reduce food packaging waste.

Anyone know if SEO are in this re Frogpack, Greanseal Starpol2000.

For full article see link.

The Waste & Resources Action Programme (WRAP) has approved seven new schemes for funding which have the potential to significantly slash the huge amount of waste produced from food packaging every year.

Also replace resource-greedy corrugated cardboard boxes with lighter but equally resilient alternatives, and packaging techniques to seal food containers that reduces the weight of the product while increasing shelf life.

Re my post of 1243hrs. Now found full details re grant awards, SEO not one of them. Sorry re time waste.

bhunt1910 - 10 Jan 2006 16:21 - 14023 of 27111

A flurry of activity towards the end of the day - something is definitely brewing - but I know not what ??

hewittalan6 - 10 Jan 2006 16:29 - 14024 of 27111

Well someones confident,
800000 buy at 16.11p gone through.
No doubt ii or bling will explain it differently, but I'll take it at face value, thanks.

Almost 2m shares traded in the last half an hour. I just do not know what is happening anymore. Some might say I never did (thought I would say it before they did).

Will be an interesting start tomorrow methinks.

Clearly SEO did not think the toe up with the \indian company worthy of an RNS.

They definitely have turned over a new leaf

It is possible that the 500k sell afetr hours is a buy as it is more than 3 times NMS - so the notification could have been delayed an hour - in which case the offer price was 15.75.

Does that make sense - or is it just wishful thinking ??
