Please help, I thought as a shareholder I had to buy these shares @37p if I wanted them so why are they showing on my acc as if they are already mine? Sorry to be thick!

HARRYCAT - 27 Nov 2009 10:06 - 1415 of 5370

Because they have been allocated to you. You can either buy them or let the offer lapse, in which case they will be sold on your behalf & if there is any profit, you will get that.
[This is what Selftrade are saying to their customers: "It has been announced that Lloyds Banking Group plc is undertaking a Rights Issue in order to raise additional capital from shareholders. This will start on Friday 27th November. Secure messages will be sent to qualifying customers throughout the day on Friday 27th November. This message will contain the full details of the offer, and the deadline that you need to respond to us by will be 5pm on 5th December. Please refer to your message box, and if youd like to accept the offer then please reply to our secure message."]
