Morning all

Thanks for all the birthday wishes - had a great weekend and have the hangover to prove it this am. Good to see Europe whip the yanks butts in the Ryder Cup. Heads not with it enough to trade so FEB and a strong blsck coffee required I feel

jj50 - 20 Sep 2004 09:26 - 14048 of 23498

Morning all. First time I have been able to access this site all week-end - thought Poochy had had me banned!

I'll join you anytime for the champers amberjane .... I am sure we can muster a party.... is the eye back to normal now or shall we through a pirate party?!

stockbunny - 20 Sep 2004 09:43 - 14049 of 23498

Dave - yes I'm also having problems at times getting online, check your & other users's 'personal filing cabinet/s' are not stuffed
to the brim, that slows a lot of things down, believe it or not.

Amber - hope your bathroom is fixed soon - not a room easy to live without!
Morning JJ! - How's things going?

Orange juice and wholemeal toast for me this morning - to go with my
mega vitamin pills - BTW anyone want a cold???? No???? It's a really good
one...lasts for ages.....No?....OK then......LOL

jj50 - 20 Sep 2004 11:04 - 14050 of 23498

Morning bunny - hoped you might have shaken off the cold by now. Am standing here with 14 half oranges, hand squeezing you an enormous glass of vit c! Cheers.

Morning fundy and belated Happy Birthday. Convenient of British Ryder Cup team to win in your honour - a great night.

Market a bit grim this morning.

stockbunny - 20 Sep 2004 11:19 - 14051 of 23498

Grim is not the word for it JJ - let's hope the DOW opens well and
removes the hang-overs that appear to be prevailing on the FTSE traders.
Fundy...How many people went out with you and got hammered on the weekend
celebrating your birthday?? Looks like half the city from here - grin.

daves dazzlers - 20 Sep 2004 12:09 - 14052 of 23498

Fundamentalist - 20 Sep 2004 12:12 - 14053 of 23498

Hi bunny/jennifer

about 15 of us out saturday night and then about ten of us went out for an all you can eat Chinese for lunch yesterday then came back here to watch the golf. The last ones left at 1.30 this morning. I got up to find we had got through 3 bottles of Veuve Cliquot (not up to Stormys standards i know) a case of a very nice Montagny premier cru and a handful of a decent rioja - oh and a bottle of remy (thats assuming ive found all the empties!!! Good job i had those oddbins vouchers recently though i could now do with winning again :-)

Just took the dog for a walk to clear the cobwebs out and got absolutely drowned!!!!! Markets seem dull - too much red about - off out to look at some more houses (have now added large wine cellar to the required criteria lol)

stockbunny - 20 Sep 2004 12:41 - 14054 of 23498

Good luck on the house hunting Fundy - yes a large cellar does have
many uses - see GD for some ideas lol!!
Good to know you had a good time on the weekend!

Socrates - 20 Sep 2004 16:37 - 14055 of 23498

Banzaiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii.

Bonk said Zebeddie, no chance said Florence.

Hello all, funny old day, my portfolio is quite twitchy as a result. MPH seems to be going at a rate, good pick that one was.

optomistic - 20 Sep 2004 16:40 - 14056 of 23498

Afternoon Socs, is MPH going to push us up the leaderboard?

Socrates - 20 Sep 2004 16:47 - 14057 of 23498

Opto
It's trying, but the rest rather let us down today. MPH added 6k but overall we are down 3k on the day. MPH was the only blue we had.

optomistic - 20 Sep 2004 16:54 - 14058 of 23498

I understand some were having trouble logging on to the site, I have had no problems, hope all have things sorted now. Thing to remember is not to do anything drastic as it is unlikely to be a problem on your PC. Stick to clearing out temp internet files and possibly cookies, problem with cookies is that you may have to reenter passwords etc on some sites.
Large pot of tea and sherry trifle, I would enjoy that right now.

optomistic - 20 Sep 2004 16:58 - 14059 of 23498

Socs, if they hold the gain the others have good chance of some positive movement in the next two weeks. We could overcome the Legs 'n' Bums hurdle with a little luck. Don't like the idea of leaving the Girls on Top though they are such a nice bunch ;-))

jj50 - 20 Sep 2004 17:08 - 14060 of 23498

Don't worry opto, we are not going to let you out of our reach without a struggle!

Afternoon Socs.

Fundy, you won't need the wine cellar if you keep on having celebrations. Sounded like a good evening though :-)

jeffmack - 20 Sep 2004 18:38 - 14061 of 23498

evening all, just on the train on the way home from work. Someones gotta make the tea

chocolat - 20 Sep 2004 18:41 - 14062 of 23498

Guess that'll be me then

Socrates - 20 Sep 2004 18:53 - 14063 of 23498

You make it, I'll drink it. Hi Choco.

chocolat - 20 Sep 2004 18:58 - 14064 of 23498

Hi guys - you sure about this, Socks?

Socrates - 20 Sep 2004 19:18 - 14065 of 23498

What, drinking tea? Lifetime hobby of mine Choco.

chocolat - 20 Sep 2004 19:22 - 14066 of 23498

Hmmm...you might go off it pretty quickly after this..
