Evening all
Nice to see plenty of customers in the cafe today.
LW.. I think I may have sold my PRM a bit to soon.
Still happy with my profit, always leave a bit for the next man, and I could'nt have left it for a nicer guy.
I know you had a lot invested in PRM, I still find it hard to believe how it has risen, with no let up in the last month.
I am not holding much at present but CLM is looking good for a nice profit.

T_i_m,
Do you mean the 2 portfolio transactions? I wouldn't worry too much about them if you are referring to the P's. It's a sets stock anyway. I see that the volume was also up a bit on the 15th ...... I haven't ploughed through all the trades for the day, but why was that? Also 116m on 15/12 ........ was there a seller who went clear or something?
Nice chart with a Golden Cross.
Saint Willie,
Shame about your team but well done with the Prummie. Can't you grow any decent grapes where you live?
:-)

What's this "Golden Cross"? I've heard it mentioned before but can't find a definition anywhere.

Hello Socs,
It's the buy signal generated when the 50 period ma rises through the 200 period ma which in turn must also be rising.
Btw, has Xanthippe been to any decent antiques fairs of late?

Hilary, you are showing distinct signs of a classical education, LOL. Those nuns were clearly not all bad.
Antique fairs are first and last Sundays of the month. Malvern first, Cheltenham last and sometimes the odd special at the NEC. Xanthippe did have a day in London last week, Art Deco exhibition and the Titian Art. She had a great day but ended tired out. That was a day when I was able to watch the market all day, fascinating isn't it? Even without trading it was an education watching the intradays and trades going through.
Just in case you missed it, I ducked out of BULM at 328p. I think I got a reasonable price, at least I'm not downhearted.

Hils, you can't see the grass for vines, they're everywhere.
You can get about 40-60 acres of vines, a manor house plus four or five workers cottages [good and easy for conversion into guests cottages] for between 4-5 million rand @ 13rand =1 and you then have the fabulous manor house to live in personally. They nearly always are at the back of your vines so you look down over them to the mountains beyond. It will have a great pool, braii area, 2 or 3 patios etc etc.
You then own a thriving guest house business, the tourist economy here is unbelieveable and you can rent out the acreage to another farmer, sell your grapes to a co-operative or make your own wine.
Pretty well all farms have their own dams [water resevoir or lake] well stocked with trout etc....
Chateau Willie..... All wine passed by the management....lw

Hilary thanks. There were a number of large blocks traded, no price action and no RNS. After the price performance over the last while it is one of Me largest holdings.

Dont mention HLS to me. We have them protesting outside my bank at least twice a week. The noisy buggers should get a job. They seem to think that one of our subsidiaries experimented on monkeys. Probably protesting because they didnt dress them properly like the PG tips chimps.
Which reminds me .....What is Michael Jacksons favourite song

If the minx was around I'm sure she'd pose the question "Is the chimps brew the one that you serve at the Bank?"

Morning all,
Hils..I see you're up and about; I've been meaning to ask how you are nowadays.
Has the leg recovered completely and you're able to kick J as per usual and recommence your old swimming regime @ 6am everyday.
Will you be able to return to the piste or is that all history now.
Let me know as I feel pretty bad about not enquiring before as, joking apart,
I know you had a lousy time and I've been pretty full of myself of late
and 'aint to proud of it.
Soc.. It must be hard on the millwall man 'cos every six months my head man from the bank changed. What was noticeable was that like the old bill they were getting younger; where does that leave Jeff??
Something needs to be done, what about telling Red Ken and getting a march organised in the City? You could represent Glos and we could all march from the cafe with the girls leading, of course......lw

Hello lw,
That's sweet of you to enquire.
The leg's a lot better now thanks, but every now and then it sort of pulls and I collapse in a heap on the floor. Swimming helps and I'm now doing 2.5km every day (alternate lengths breast stroke/crawl) although I tend to shuffle the times around (I'm off for a swim and sauna a bit later today).
As for the skiing, I don't intend to stop although I'll need to wear a support from now on. Despite the accident, we didn't let it ruin the fun. It was a shame because my son who's 10 is now quite tasty on a pair of skis and we have a lot of fun together as a family if you understand what I mean.
Send me an e-mail (I haven't got your new SA address) telling me all about Paarl and I'll keep in touch.
xxx.
edit: I no longer use the Tiscali a/c. Have you got my Pipex address?
