Sign of a good management, they know how to make money, they still have another 51% of their original stake so it is more dollars in the coffers, pre tax profits will be even greater than aniticpated next year given the profit levels on the disposals and the growing operating profit!

I'm very impressed with EVS. Good to see they are using their assets wisely. Better to invest in your own company than to hold a minority stake in another.
Incidentally, the online buy is still only 37.5K!

Are we now looking at profits of 1.35 million,(including this exceptional), for the year ending March 2005, or had Seymour Pierce already anticipated that sale of FMJ?

I hope that is the case grevis2, but the only worry is that there could be a big seller in the background somewhere, either with a protected order or a trade that will come through 1 hour after it happened!!

FT has published the following article about Envesta. Looks like we are at the early stage of substantial share price rise:
Envesta Telecom rose 13.6 per cent to 6.5p, ostensibly after the long-distance provider took 0.2m profit from the sale of around half its holding in Formjet, a software provider. Although the sale will strengthen Envestas balance sheet, the stock has more than trebled in value since the start of the year - mainly driven by expectations of higher profits. House broker Seymour Pierce said last week that Envesta is at the early stage of substantial growth

Looks like you were right grevis2. I am heavily into this one now. The article is very encouraging as at the current forward pe of 9 "substantial growth" is very cheap!

tallsiii: Today has presented a good buying opportunity. Just couldn't resist buying a few more. Hesitated at 5.75p which was a bit of a booby. Eventually bought in around the 6p level. Just shows it doesn't pay to hang on for the last point or two.

grevis: I did a similar thing as i bought as they dropped this morning also getting in at the 6p mark and just over. Could have hung on for a lower price, but all of today's prices should prove cheap in the long run.

Well done tallsiii. If Seymour Pierce are correct then we are looking at a forward PE of only 7.5 at present and as substantial growth is expected, what will that PE look like in 12 months time!

On Friday I predicted a close of 5.8p followed by 6.4p on Monday. This turned out to be quite close to the actual figures of 5.7p and 6.47p respectively. Today's close is less easy to judge but I would expect them to be roughly where they are now. Tomorrow, however, is another matter as my indicators show they could climb to around 6.76p.

looks like they have entered a range. They may be around the 6-6.5 mark for some time now.
