It's that time of year
once again (doesn't time fly), and here is a chance for
all you users to get to meet and greet each other over
some food and a few drinks. Easy to get to as it is just outside London Bridge Station. 13.00 (1.00pm): Georgetown Restaurant, 10 London Bridge Street, London SE1 9SG Tel: 020 7357 7359 The award winning Georgetown restaurant brings the varied and exquisite cuisines of the Malaysian Malays, Mandarin Chinese and Tamil Indians under one roof - all served in a regal house style with crystal cut glass and fine bone china.( well thats what the brochure says!) By London Underground. London Bridge When travelling on the Jubilee Line, exit following signs for Borough High Street. Turn right, heading towards London Bridge and then turn right again into London Bridge Street. The Restaurant is on this street. When travelling on the Northern Line, exit following signs for the mainline station. On exiting you will see a bus station. Walk across pedestrian crossing. Georgetown is directly ahead. 16:00(4.00pm): Back to All Bar One. If anyone wants to stay at a local hotel The Premier Lodge about 5 minutes walk is reasonable at about 82 per room. If you want to book ring 0870 990 6402. The Georgetown is actually situated in the London Bridge Hotel, but it is expensive(020 7855 2200). Can you please indicate your lunch menu choice from the following options: Starters: 1. Prawn Cocktail - Prawn cocktail salad and vinaigrette with thousand island dressing. 2. Indian Mee Goreng - Stir fried Indian noodles cooked with chillies, chicken, prawns, spinach, cauliflower and beansprouts3.Mysore Aadu - A ramekin of slow cooked lamb served with roti chanai segments and Malaysian coleslaw 4. Rojak - Malay sweet and sour salad of pineapple, guava, toufu, and seasonal vegetable, served with a tangy dressinhg. Main Course: 5. Rendang Daging -Medallions of beef flavoured with aromatic lemon grass, mild chilli, and coconut milk - served with rice, okra, purple cabbage, kuruma and keropok 6. Chettinad Koli - Crisp and spiced chicken served with biryani rice, a light kuruma, sauteed aubergines and ladies fingers. A traditional Malaysian Indian dish originating from Tamil Nadu. 7. Nasi Sayur - Fragrant Malay stir fried vegetable rice dish with fine beans, carrots, sweetcorn and other seasonal vegetables 8. Roast Turkey with trimmings - Traditional roast turkey wrapped in bacon and stuffing with roast potatoes and seasonal vegetables 9. Ikan Kelapa - Fillet of cod rolled in coconutt, crispy fried and served with seasonal vegetables Desserts: 10.Tropical Fruit Salad -Starfruit, longan, guava, jackfruit, melons and other seasonal fruit with a hint of amaretto 11.
