MEDICAL MARKETING, A Speculative Punt That Might Reap Rich Rewards (MMG)

goldfinger - 01 Sep 2004 15:33

This ones a heck of a specualive investment but it seems that the institutions are willing to stomp up the cash to back it in the long term.

Heres the latest news from Killik stocbrokers on the company..........

MEDICAL MARKETING Joint Venture

We recently highlighted Medical Marketing (MMG) as worthy of attention. The company, in which I have a personal share holding, has this morning announced the formation of a joint venture, Genvax, to develop a novel DNA vaccine platform technology.

Human trials have been underway since 2001 in areas such as Lymphoma and Myeloma but the technology has broad applications in cancer, viral and bacterial infections (hence the term platform). The technology works on boosting the immune system by teaching it to identify hard to recognise cancer proteins as foreign and destroy them. Early results from the 25 patient trial in lymphoma are encouraging and evaluation of the result is expected by March 2005. Successful results should mean big pharmaceutical groups will start to take financial and commercial interests around that time.

This looks to be the first of a series of announcements due from Medical Marketing as it has a range of predominantly cancer trials moving into the clinical stage. (news flow could push the price higher)

The stock has made good progress in recent sessions up to the mid-80p level where the company is valued at just under 40 million. ENDS.

Please DYOR

cheers GF.

Still a few nervy sellers out there and the general market itself seems to be weak at the moment. Will be nice to get the presentation up and running.

cheers Gf.

GF

Who are the major share holders and do you have any idea what % are in free float? How tightly held are they?

Hi Mickey, not sure which board to get that from. It was free on Hemscott at one time not sure if that is the case now. You tend to have to pay for that knowledge unless you go back through the RNS details which will take a very long time. If you want though you could get the last report from the company and I beleive it is in PDF format and you could find it there.

Might be also an idea to have a look at the MMG site itself it could be on there but sometimes its out of date.

cheers GF.

I think I can hear Evil coughing in the backround!

goldfinger - 26 Apr 2005 12:31 - 1424 of 2444

Chocking you mean.

ateeq180 - 26 Apr 2005 12:33 - 1425 of 2444

THE REASON FOR THIS QUESTION IS BECAUSE I HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO DOWNLOAD THE NEWS,SO I CANT SEE WHATS GOING ON AS THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH MY PC.

Chiva20 - 26 Apr 2005 12:36 - 1426 of 2444

I can't see it either Ateeq180, I'm sure we'll hear what the news is in due course, the posters on here are pretty forthcoming with news and comment as soon as they can, 049balt is referring to the overall picture and nothing specific. Or so I understand.

goldfinger - 26 Apr 2005 12:37 - 1427 of 2444

ateeq, close down and then log on again, it worked for me.

cheers Gf.

doughboy66 - 26 Apr 2005 12:41 - 1428 of 2444

Yes a lot of this is going over my head. Im more interested in the dough part of this presentation. Im sure that s going to come at the very end in questions and answers. Sadler made it plain enough though that ruthenium is far superior to platinum. Should put a few bob on the share price.

cheers GF.
