optomistic - 20 Sep 2004 22:41 - 14109 of 23498

Choccie it is wild over here at the other side of the hill. Just proves that you don't have the worst weather all the time.
Whats happening outside Choocie is it interesting?

Socrates - 20 Sep 2004 22:43 - 14110 of 23498

Robinsons! I like Robinsons Barley Water.

optomistic - 20 Sep 2004 22:45 - 14111 of 23498

Is that good for you Socs?

Socrates - 20 Sep 2004 22:47 - 14112 of 23498

Absolutely Opto, lemon or orange flavour either will do. Just don't water it down too much.

optomistic - 20 Sep 2004 22:48 - 14113 of 23498

Must try it Socs especially the Orange, I think I drink too much sherry trifle!

chocolat - 20 Sep 2004 22:48 - 14114 of 23498

It sounds fairly wild out there tonight, opto - but heyyyy, I've got the blueberries. And amberj, either of those is a suitable description, judging by the state of non-progress of work in this establishment. This wet-room had better be worth it!!

optomistic - 20 Sep 2004 23:05 - 14115 of 23498

Well I'm away to bed now but not before my hot chocolate, yes honestly!! night all.

amberjane - 20 Sep 2004 23:11 - 14116 of 23498

nite Opto

Choccie

OK the race is on then..my loo's nearly done but no seat, sink in place but no taps and a space for the bath..... BUT its all plastered, no holes (he he) and I have splash resistant speakers (not wave protected unfortunately) and subtle dimmed lighting..

chocolat - 20 Sep 2004 23:16 - 14117 of 23498

errr, now then....got speakers in the shed!
And believe me, only subtle works around here.

amberjane - 20 Sep 2004 23:48 - 14118 of 23498

Yeah great, speakers in the shed, got everything else. Got set of car tyres in mine to sit on........maybe we should have a 'women only shed thread'!.

had an early start so gotta go now, nite

amberjane - 20 Sep 2004 23:52 - 14119 of 23498

Think Opto may be right about Poochy, he's a bit late so maybe he's got lucky?

snoball - 21 Sep 2004 00:01 - 14120 of 23498

Morning. Everyone fit and well.

hilary - 21 Sep 2004 11:39 - 14123 of 23498

Welcome back, Little Winky.

Hope you had a great time in the UK. Was I out on the night that you rang to take me and Jeffie out for a drink?

Has anybody here got any experience of downloading songs from the internet to burn onto CD? My kids want to do it, and there seem to be quite a few websites which all seem to charge about the same. Napster seems to be about the most expensive. Is there any particular recommended site?

jeffmack - 21 Sep 2004 12:15 - 14124 of 23498

Hils
My son still downloads his music from Kazaa, its free or you can pay about $20 and not have the advertising. He probably downloads about 100+ songs per week, he then burns them to CD with Windows Media Player. I get the CD's for free, so he plays them for a few weeks then bins them. He usually keeps the songs on hard drive so he can add them to new compilations if he wants to.

Kazaa is also good for pictures and video. You can gets lots of TV programs for example but the files are fairly big.

I think some people in the USA have been taken to court for downloading from Kazaa, so something to be aware of. We have used it for more than a year with no problems.
