Afternoon Brocks! Any ideas on distracting Hilary????

brockman - 22 Sep 2004 12:56 - 14212 of 23498

Think there is an aero in the cellar! Mary Ann Faithfull did something distracting with a choccie bar, I believe :o)

hilary - 22 Sep 2004 13:23 - 14213 of 23498

Why would I need distracting, Bunny Girl? SEY on the up today.

:o)

Jeffie & Dazzling Davey,

Thanks for those 2 links yesterday. Being P2P, do you consider them to be safe? And do you know about the content? Can you get the latest hits or they all from unknown artists?

optomistic - 22 Sep 2004 13:27 - 14214 of 23498

Hilary, I used Kazaa and it caused me problems and on looking into it I was not alone.

hilary - 22 Sep 2004 13:32 - 14215 of 23498

Thanks for the feedback, Opto.

I'm actually happy to pay for the downloads. Some sites seem to charge a flat fee of around $20 pa, although I wonder if they are (a) legal and (b) if they will still be around next month. The likes of Napster seem to charge per download, in which case it strikes me that it's probably just as easy to buy a CD from somewhere like CD-Wow.

optomistic - 22 Sep 2004 13:38 - 14216 of 23498

Good point about legality Hilary. Other point is if you go out and buy a CD you really know you want it, if you are downloading from a site at so much a copy (cheap) you will probably download a lot that you really dont want. May sound odd to some but it is my way of thinking (Yorkshire folk you know :-))

stockbunny - 22 Sep 2004 13:45 - 14217 of 23498

Oh no reason why we might want to distract you...other then trying
to get you to take your eye off your portfolio (the game) as we are
hoping to climb further up the leader board and are trying to be as
strategic is we can..in all directions. ;>)

I'm going offline for a while - really MUST settle down and do some
more work and also just picked up several varying phone messages from
a friend who's been trying to get through to me for hours - I'm on
dial up.. - to only be repeatedly confronted by a message service..
Whoops....so before she completely looses it with me, I'd better clear
the phone line!! LOL
Take care all and may be back later on.

jj50 - 22 Sep 2004 14:30 - 14218 of 23498

Bye bye bunny, hello everybody else.

Pink champagne will be long gone I expect, so shall settle for a nice cup of tea instead.

Big Al - 22 Sep 2004 14:43 - 14219 of 23498

Afternoon girls and boys.

Quick coffee and back to it.

chocolat - 22 Sep 2004 15:19 - 14220 of 23498

Eh up, BigA - back home and dry now?

hilary - 22 Sep 2004 15:33 - 14221 of 23498

I don't think that he swam home, Choccy.

stockbunny - 22 Sep 2004 15:47 - 14222 of 23498

What has happened???
I go away to do some work and take a couple of calls and the index
drops - where have half of my nice gains gone???
(I want 'em back pronto!)
LOL
Anyone about to share a pot of tea and a couple of macaroons?

Big Al - 22 Sep 2004 15:47 - 14223 of 23498

Present and correct, choccy. ;-)) A bit windswept, though.

Hil - well spotted! LOL!
