Bought in today... have missed out on the impressive gains so far but solid progress is being made here and a good story developing so it looks good for more gains in the near future (imho)....

Quindell Portfolio, the brand extension company, says trading has continued positively in the period under review, building on the strong performance delivered by the Group in the first half.

The company expects to be significantly ahead of market expectations for the 15 month period ending 31 December 2011.

The Group announced back in October that it had won contracts with six established brands and one exciting new digital brand within the insurance, telecoms and utilities sectors, including for the first time, solar energy; and that revenues for 2011 were expected to be ahead of market expectations.

Since then, the Group has won further major contracts with established brands within the telecoms, utilities, on-line education and insurance sectors for both its technology enabled business process outsourcing division and software solutions division.

In aggregate, these contract wins could contribute over £6 million of annualised revenues. In addition, the Group has acquired two further businesses, Maine Finance and, most recently, Mobile Doctors Group Plc.

Margin performance has also been strong and, for 2011, margins are expected to be between 35 and 40 per cent. within its technology enabled business process outsourcing operations

i would be more inclined to buy FLYB than QPP if you want to delve into bombed-out stocks

kimoldfield - 14 Nov 2014 11:44 - 1427 of 1965

Well I suppose FLYB could take off again (sorry!), I hope the Director buys were not the same type as the QPP ones!

Quindell said to be in talks with hedge funds to raise cash

Insurance services company Quindell has begun talks with hedge funds in a bid to raise funds, reports have claimed.
The UK-listed company, which has seen its share price tumble 76% in the year-to-date, is believed, according to the Sunday Times, to have met "at least two" hedge funds "in recent weeks" to hold talks over a potential injection of cash.

However, Quindell has said it "has no current need for any third-party financing".

As quoted by the newspaper, the AIM 50-listed group said: "Quindell is regularly approached by, and opens discussions with, funds and financial institutions who understand the quality of its receivables and are familiar with the cashflow profile of legal services work."

It comes after three of its directors were last week heavily criticised for not purchasing as many shares as they had pledged to.

The group's founder, its finance director and a non-executive director have been loaned £8.8m from Equities First Holdings, using their shares in Quindell as collateral. The directors said they would use the borrowed funds to buy more shares, but have actually only so far purchased shares worth £2.1m.
