RTD - Why? (RTD)

Nitefly - 15 Sep 2003 10:55

Why are we again at 10.5p bid?

It doesn't add up...

Good Results + Strong buying pre results + Christmas online buying soon = Price drop

Then again some companies that have debt for equity hanging in the balance, poor results and bankruptcy around the corner and they go up!

Why sell now at a loss?

Wont that be a kick in the teeth when we see 13.5p 14p again!

Best of luck all.

Totally agree, the upside is enormous, the downside minimal. Have topped up and await an upsurge on results and progress on this ridiculous legal claim which should be retracted if Cybersource wish to retain credibility and their money! Don't think it will hang over the shareprice for long.

Fundamentalist - 01 Sep 2004 14:31 - 1431 of 2406

Looks like everyone is now waiting for the half yr results aand an update from the company on the lawsuit - just 16k traded by 2.30pm!!!!!!

The Other Kevin - 01 Sep 2004 14:40 - 1432 of 2406

Not so, Fundy. I bought some mid morning at 14.53 which still haven't shown up on the trades data yet. How long can brokers/market makers withhold trades from the market?

Edit: Just spotted Dailos's thread in the Traders' Room on Delayed Reporting. My experience today doesn't fit the rules.

arawli - 01 Sep 2004 19:57 - 1433 of 2406

If you bough with TD Waterhouse then they probably won't show up as they use a different system. I think it is called virtual-x which sometime explains why prices will move when there doesn't seem to be any volume.

Hope this helps

Andy

Just noticed this posted elsewhere from the Scotsman on Sunday - looks pretty positive to me:

""Retail Decisions on course

RETAIL Decisions, a firm specialising in credit-card fraud prevention, is on track to meet forecasts for a doubling of profits this year, despite fears of a consumer slowdown.

Household debt in Britain and Australia, where the company is the largest issuer of multi-branded fuel-purchase cards, has ballooned in recent years on the back of low interest rates and a housing boom that has sent prices soaring. But interest rates have been rising in both countries and are expected to climb further in a bid to curb consumer debt.

At Retail Decisions core fraud-prevention business, which specialises in online and telephone transactions where credit cards are not seen by retailers, the volume of transactions was up more than 50 per cent on last year."

Better than expected results should be worth a couple of :-))))'s at least.

Douggie
just curious are you a trader or are you retired etc
Richard

Douggie - 02 Sep 2004 11:43 - 1440 of 2406

Hi biffa18 I am now a retired person with too much time to waste, who invested wisely in this Co. and who unwisely didn't sell at 24p! so don't have cash in pocket, nor can have a nother bite at this cherry = inept trader ;o/

biffa18 - 02 Sep 2004 14:38 - 1441 of 2406

Hi dougie
just wondered i have half mill of these not alot to worry about really i have half mill cybit as well markets have lost all the day traders etc so volitility has gone but patience is always rewarded just depends on yr time scale

Fred1new - 02 Sep 2004 14:52 - 1442 of 2406

Biffa18.

Warn me before you put your tranche on the market. Although not as many as you I hold quite a few of these share bought at about 5+p, after getting out at the peak a few years ago. The problem I see is the NMS is 75,000 and I can see the MM being their usual charming selves if there is a great degree of selling. (I don't blame them.)

Lets hope it goes up and stays up. That would be a nice ----.
Ps
I did sell half my holdings at 20p after speaking to Douggie in London. Bought back again at about 14.5.

Fred1new - 02 Sep 2004 14:57 - 1443 of 2406

Douggie.

If you have spare time, why not try selling it on E-bay. Lots of people haven't got enough. :+>

biffa18 - 02 Sep 2004 15:38 - 1444 of 2406

yes iv done quite well in this share buying on dips an selling some keep some, you end up with alot of free shares that way

biffa18 - 02 Sep 2004 16:10 - 1445 of 2406
