I echo that, Baza.
There are those I would not dare contemplate with their shorts down!!!!
Despite the rumblings and fallouts we have now seen 3 months of a steady SP, and I don't expect any great falls between now and results, and probably not then, as the market seems to have accounted for poor results and a never ending cc in the current price.
Its still one of those that is too close to call though, as to which way the sp will move next.
Whether long or short, the best move is to put the stop loss in place quite tightly and hope you're on the winning team.
Alan

Agree, Shorters taking big risk. But aren't we all? Sp has been steady for weeks now. If this was going south it would have done so before now IMHO.

Although buys less than sells, L2 is looking better than it has for a while.
Buy orders against sell orders are 2 to 1. Also the mid price is exactly that and not quoted same as the ask. So the signs are more to a slight rise as against a dip, although if there is news obviously this will alter things.

Expecting good news in am?
happy days.

blinger - 24 Jan 2006 18:53 - 14325 of 27111

Who said 3 months at a steady share price- zero gain there then???, however as I said yesterday the intelligent shorters did short 25 days back, and banked a handsom 20% profit from the high in Dec.recently.
Todays blip is of no consequence, a few mm`s encouraging trades, and the same guys on MM/Sets trying it on, surf the waves guys, its a doddle.

blinger - 24 Jan 2006 18:56 - 14326 of 27111

no chart- no change there then- doh!!!!

explosive - 24 Jan 2006 18:59 - 14327 of 27111

Is that another 5er you made then bling, sp doesn't look like its gonna crash and burn yet?.... Having said that nothing going for it either to escape the 14p hold...

hewittalan6 - 24 Jan 2006 19:16 - 14328 of 27111

Anyone who fancies a good giggle this evening ought to look back at this thread around about the begining of December.
The SP was <13p and anyone long was an uneducated tit. The shorters were having a field day insisting 10p by Xmas and how they were going to trouser it big time.
The Sp has never been that low since, but I have not noticed any of those posters back saying they got it wrong. Quite the reverse. Judging by explosives post, they claim to be getting it right constantly!!
Just to prove, self confessed geniuses who short this as a dog can be wrong, just like the rest of us mere mortals.

Biscuit - 24 Jan 2006 19:22 - 14329 of 27111

Alan, You will probably never find a "trader" who will ever admit to being wrong, in fact, most like to call themselves "investors" which is very funny, however, the majority of them must be wrong, most of the time as it's just glorified gambling really. You can gaurantee their brokers will probably be quite wealthy by they've finished though. Strange how most "traders" seem to think they can influence share prices through posting on an internet BB! Why do you think poker sites advertise so much on here, traders love a good gamble!

explosive - 24 Jan 2006 19:29 - 14330 of 27111

Alan - I sold my SEO holding on the 19/12/05.... Not a shorter though, sold with the forthcoming court case which on resolution I thought would push the price back to 12. You are correct though if I'd have held and sold today I would have got a slightly better price for my shares.. All my trades are long plays and been in SEO since the 5p days when RHPS advised sell. No shorter here and will hold SEO again on first wind of movement..

blinger - 24 Jan 2006 20:07 - 14331 of 27111

I am often wrong!!!, any investor of whichever persuation, who claims not to be is a ramping moron, the secret is NOT to be wrong too long -, its very simple guys ---
Einstein said "Those who understand compound interest are destined to collect it.
Those who don't are doomed to pay it."

It works in reverse, guys, any gains while short are compounded too- if reinvested!.
But I presume you knew that- a gain, is a gain, is a gain, no matter from where it was gleened- althoughhhhhhh- upon reflection -- no you probably don`t.

blinger - 24 Jan 2006 20:16 - 14332 of 27111

er hewitalan, you boast of the share price being<13p beginning of Dec., it rose a lot in the first week up to 17p sooo--
1.Did you buy some at <13p, if so you have a small paper profit
2.Did you buy some a couple of days into Dec. @ 17p? if so you are losing-on paper
3.Are you a long term holder- if so why all the regular posts after each tiny movement up!!
4.Do you trade them, if not why post so often
5.Are you ramping them- if not see last (4)
6.When it was <13p what did you post it would be by now

Over!!!tell us where you stand -good lad

blinger - 24 Jan 2006 20:39 - 14333 of 27111

Explosive-I am sure you are a nice decent person and determined not to be classified with the dreaded epithet "I am a shorter", but , how can I put this?? , do you REALLY understand investment, I mean shouldn`t you go on a course??
Let me explain, the definition of your no.1 enemy " A SHORTER", is basically
` a person who sells a share hoping to buy it back more cheaply later`.
OK so far, now you may retaliate with a comment about " shorters do not own the share"- sorry legally they do, even if they borrow it,
Now read this---

UNDERSTAND NOW"!!
You sold- around 15p I suggest--- hoping to buy back more cheaply later---@12p---- you dirty filthy shorting swine-we all love you dearly.
YOU SOLD SHORT DUMMY!!!!!!!!!!

lolololol!!!!!!!

hlyeo98 - 25 Jan 2006 09:15 - 14334 of 27111

Is there any news on the court case???

hewittalan6 - 25 Jan 2006 09:19 - 14335 of 27111

If there was it would probably only be that the legal teams from both sides have asked for an adjournment while they go on world cruises and buy carribean islands on the proceeds!!
No one will be a winner. Both will lose out in the end because that is the nature of these things.
But even that will not be for some time yet, I don't think, unless someone starts banging heads together.
All IMHO of course, but chill out on the cc.

explosive - 25 Jan 2006 23:24 - 14336 of 27111

Bling - post 14333, truly a classic, I may add however just for giggle that no I don't fully understand investment, if I did I wouldn't be posting here.... Yes I could go on a course but then I run the risk of meeting the kinds found only at investment courses or timeshare presentations!!

OK, tar and feather me, yes my play in SEO is currently short. I call it protecting or maximising my profits, come April I expect to be back in and fingers crossed watching the paper money come rolling in once again!....

To conclude shorters are not my enemy. I if being truthfull admire those who make up their own minds rather than following like sheep others on BBs who are happy enough to sit on an equity in the hope of good news and profit.
