Cybit the best telematics play (CYH)

Still Waiting - 21 Sep 2003 22:33

The chart for this stock says it all.

The company is quickly becoming a real gem in the telematics field, over the last month the co. has announced re-seller contracts which will bring in min. 2m or >30% of last years T/O alone.

The company is already experiencing massive organic growth so the co. should be profitable now following last years 500k loss.

The co. has approx. 6m cash and is in one of the hottest growth areas at the moment.

With a market cap. of 25m this will be re-rated x2/3 minimum within the next 6-12 months IMHO.

MM buys went through on Friday with T/O continuing to build, one to put on your monitor...

This explains a lot: Profit taken 1,267,000 - should help reduce thier losses!

On Friday 7th November Trafficmaster Plc ('Trafficmaster') sold a holding of
56,250,000 shares in Cybit Holdings PLC ('Cybit') for a cash consideration of
1,687,500. These shares had been held at a carrying value of 420,000.

Trafficmaster continues to hold warrants for a further 67,017,435 shares in
Cybit, which can be exercised in two stages. The first tranche can be exercised
at a price of 4.5p before 31st December 2004, and the next tranche at 6.5p
before 31st December 2006.

Trafficmaster has a strong strategic partnership with Cybit under which it
provides a range of products and services, including hosting services and the
provision of telematics hardware.

Little woman
Does that mean it's likely that the price is expected/calculated to be 4.5 at the end of the year?

little woman - 11 Nov 2003 12:11 - 149 of 3104

No - warrants are normally price well below expected market price (The first lot can be excercised any time between now and the end of Dec next year or they lose them). It would be pointless excercising them if you could get them cheaper in the market.

Trafficmaster has made substancial losses in the last few years, and because of the sale and improved market conditions should go back into profit by y/e 31 Dec. The other thing if they want to exercise the first tranche of warrants they are going to need a lot of cash. Not knowing the breakdown can't give exact figures, but the whole amount at 4.5p will cost more than 3 million. They could have sold to try and also make sure they have enough cash for when the time comes.

LW
Thanks for your time and info - on a slightly different note, I am new to trading and would like to do a course/workshop covering derivatives, encompassing what dealing in futures, options, cfds, warrants, spread betting involves so I have a thorough overview of what each entails before making my decision on which to focus on - do you have any recommendations? There is so much out there with the world and their mother wanting to flog their particular seminar/indispensable software/methodology and I don't know enough to make informed decisions!
Regards
Anna

little woman - 11 Nov 2003 12:31 - 151 of 3104

I've never done a course myself, although I keep considering it! - quite a few brokers do free ones, like e*trade, e.g has one January 14, 2004, 4pm-6pm Level: Beginner/Intermediate FREE

If you want to pay, I know a lot of people have recommended croc's courses. You can access his site through the traders thread and take a look.

Nov 3 Me to you:-
Do you not think double figures is over optimistic?
Not if they go into profit-but the big question is when

Ajren - Nov 10 - waiting to go BUST????

little woman - 11 Nov 2003 13:03 - 155 of 3104

Oh you mean OHN!

ajren - 11 Nov 2003 13:08 - 156 of 3104

I mean what is your position today?

You BOUGHT despite thinking they will go BUST...Your word

little woman - 11 Nov 2003 13:13 - 157 of 3104

No - I was talking about OHN, as the previous post was using it as a warning about CYH. I was explaining that I didn't buy them (OHN) because I thought they could too easily go BUST, but CYH has a lot more support and prospects and not a good comparison.

Personally I still hold a few CYH, awaiting the results which hopefully will be out soon. If they go up I'll be happy. If they go down I'll pick up a few more as compared to some of the other high risk companies out there I consider CYH a better risk, with a better future.

ajren - 11 Nov 2003 13:31 - 158 of 3104

Thanks for your explanation.Sometimes treads - through no ones fault-
cause confusion as one can reply to some post but in the meantime there

what do you make of trafficmaster selling all off its holdings in cybit, also everyone was very excited about this stock but all of a sudden there seems to be no real backing for this stock,or may be every one is hoping for the 14th november,if there is better news to come ,lets hope the results are as good as some peoples good posts.

blakester - 12 Nov 2003 09:50 - 162 of 3104

Is everyone now dumping/losing interest in this stock? The threads dropping rapidly...

sivad - 12 Nov 2003 10:03 - 163 of 3104
