Closed down at last?, what a blessing!!
The most cheerless boring bb ever to be invented by man, and woman.

explosive - 30 Jan 2006 19:18 - 14433 of 27111

SueHelen - "Opening a short on these.....this ain't going anywhere fast.....fall to 10 pence could happen in the absence of news."

Fall to 10 pence could happen, there and again rise to 20p could happen... This aint going anywhere fast, how many times have we heard that one!!

Nice to see your going short SH, well done, congratulations, you have my vote for investor of the year....

blinger - 30 Jan 2006 19:24 - 14434 of 27111

Nine months solid of ramping and stupid claims of a turnabout, and what is the result? A ski-slope!!!, the second best thing from Switzerland incidentally, the best being the Cuckoo-clock!!

SH,

Short away please! Let us know when you do and we'll cheer you on!

Best of luck.

garyble - 30 Jan 2006 19:35 - 14436 of 27111

Well guys and gals, looks like February will be the month {tempting fate there}, hopefully with a very net positive on the sp:

Results
Starpol: FDA approval
GS conversion update

Cant be arsed with commenting about the cc as judgement/oocs could take a lot longer than we expect.

If results are as expected or even slightly better, well be rising to a new trading range.

explosive - 30 Jan 2006 21:10 - 14437 of 27111

Bling - Ski slope maybe, and in the months before your graph a good climb which you haven't shown!! Your graph shows a high of 28+ at which time the share was overbought so no real shock to see the fall. Now I doubt not even you'd commit to shorting all the way down to 10p at the moment with current state of play.

explosive - 30 Jan 2006 21:14 - 14438 of 27111

P.S. Bling - Any opion on my BGF thread?

hewittalan6 - 30 Jan 2006 21:36 - 14439 of 27111

Thought bling was already short. Its a long way down to 10p from here.
From October to now looks like a very shallow uptrend to me, but I aint no chartist.
The sp now has poor results, a cc and slower than expected take up of Greenseal built in.
To my simple mind that means that a cc that isn't as anti SEO as it might be OR results that aren't overly bad OR an update with the results to say Greenseal installations are getting back on track would send the sp up.
None of these may happen, but I would not be feeling too comfortable with a short in the current scenario.
Alan

explosive - 30 Jan 2006 21:50 - 14440 of 27111

Hi Alan - Can't see why the CC would have a major affect on the sp. Agree had hoped for more from Greenseal. Maybe better news come Q1 end. Yes Bling is short as am I to around 12-13p, however a fall to 10p as SueHelen thinks is just over the top. Couldn't imagine any shorter being honest coming out with a prediction this low!! Mind you I suppose everyone to their own....

hewittalan6 - 30 Jan 2006 22:03 - 14441 of 27111

Hi explosive,
Never wish anyone bad tidings (except maybe bling and SH) but I hope I come out right on this one.
Respect your decision to be short as it is as possible as any other outcome but I would be suprised if it goes that low in the near future. I am just saying that all the potential bad news seems to be accounted for in the fall from grace of the sp over the summer, and I am comfortable being long, as I am sure you are being short.
No doubt we both have our loss prevention methods in place and will watch with care over the next few weeks.
Good luck (but not on this one!!)
Alan

Bugz - 31 Jan 2006 10:11 - 14442 of 27111

And people say on here that if you take a short position and voice it you get abused and attacked by rampers!!!

Lovely to prove that balanced debate does happen here ...... Well done Explosive and Alan!

giggin - 31 Jan 2006 11:02 - 14443 of 27111

Can anyone tell me when results are due?

johnny the fox - 31 Jan 2006 12:39 - 14444 of 27111

Giggin Hi, Results due sometime this month, although last year they were not out until 29th Feb.

Cheers

Johnny the Fox
Thanks for the info
cheers

explosive - 31 Jan 2006 18:25 - 14446 of 27111

Hi Alan, I sold out at just under the 15p mark as I thought sp would fall... Well so far as you know it hasn't. So I've already taken my profit and am waiting for either a fall in the sp or some action to get back in.... Respect the long position though, as one could say I only went short in the short-term and have always believed SEO will prevail long in the long run..... Does that make sense?

Bugz - Thanks for post 14442, we all have our own stratergies which of course are going to be different per investor. Its what for me makes the BBs a good read to guage opion. Only thing I don't much like in the long v's short arguement is when a prediction is placed without justification of why.

stockdog - 31 Jan 2006 18:46 - 14447 of 27111

Wow, peace to hear oneself think! Hi regulars (and irregulars),

The chart is pretty indeterminate at present. We have a hard floor of 14p which looks solid, but should it break below that SH may wear her shorts with pride. Meanwhile we appear to be on a nice little uptrend struggling back up towards the 18.5p double top.

I think it's important for the next peak to be higher than the 16.75p interday peak earlier this month to break the trend of lower peaks and a flat floor to this current pattern - which could be a downward sloping triangle foreshadowing a drop to a new, lower range.

If we do break 16.75p next peak, then I expect us to continue to 18.5p, but cannot say what might happen there. Hopefully we'll be there coincident with cheering results in Feb to send us back to tackle the low-mid 20's again. But market indifference to results could see us tumble back down the hill again.

We need the FDA announcement and some solid results on Greenseal. I remain confident of the management that these will come one day and create a multi-bagger out of SEO over a 3-5 year view, but I don't think anyone can predict how long it will take - except to say it will be longer than we thought or hoped in all probability.

Meanwhile, I have a firm stop loss of 13.75p the bid in place.
