CHELSEA FC WANTS YOU!

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 22 - Just 10 days since registration for Super Soccer Star opened, and over 1,800 hopefuls have already signed up and are presently garnering votes to become the next Super Soccer Star! The response is overwhelming, and if you havent already signed up, you can do so before November 9, 2008.

These hopefuls have signed up for a chance to join some of the worlds best young football talent at the Chelsea Youth Academy in London.

Super Soccer Star is a reality TV programme that is making EPL dreams come true and is an opportunity that should not be missed for all young Malaysian footballers between 13 and 16 years of age.

Apart from online registration, the Super Soccer Star crew will be making visits to several locations within the Klang Valley to allow for on-ground registration. Check out more information here .

300 registered users with the highest number of votes will be selected for an actual try-out on 16 November 2008, out of which, only 20 of the best will stand a chance to continue on this reality TV programme that will air for 13 episodes, beginning 18 December 2008.

Entertainment media group Galleon Holdings says it anticipates annual profits at least in line with market expectations.

London-based Galleon, which chalked up a maiden first-half pre-tax profit of 355,000 in the six months to March, is upbeat about the full year to September. In a confident trading statement, the AIM-quoted company, which focuses on entertainment for China and various emerging markets, says one of its recent acquisitions, Yunbo, has become the tenth largest mobile service provider in the Peoples Republic.

Galleon, which has agreed a strategic partnership with Dragonfruit Studios of Atlanta, is faring well with products, notably Chinese interactive TV talent show Super Soccer Stars and Apollos Pad, an online animated sitcom aimed at a young male audience. At 15.75p, the shares have worse than halved in a year and should achieve a re-rating if more normal stock market conditions return and its projects continue to bear fruit.

Edit-I say 'appear' as although there is near enough 130 pages which are grouped into 16 people on each page there is however a bit of a void between last page and first.This may be due to the time it takes to update what would be 3666 (at last count),actual webspace or they are just waiting for the closing date for entries IE November 9th to complete.

It hasn't gone unnoticed that GON have not updated their website since the 24th September where at least the Trading Statement should have been added (7th October).

Not saying it's good or bad just interesting so made a point of noting me thoughts.

Might have to wait until Final Results or perhaps a trading statement before then and then I think we may see a good old fashioned re-rating of say 30p.Just typing aloud really and all depends if GON can prove they are worth that valuation,this would then stimulate trading.
Another option might be an acquisition via a placing to enable big chunks to be purchased by the major players and highlight GON in the general market place.

Think I've rambled enough! :-)
