rather than pick out individual stocks to trade, it can often be worthwhile to trade the indices themselves, especially in times of high volatility.
for those so inclined, i attach below charts for FTSE and FTSE 250, though one might equally be tempted to trade Dow or S&P, which is significantly broader in its coverage, or even NASDAQ
for ease of reading, i have attached 1 year and 3 month charts in each instance

You've found me Skinny....!! lol.. Meanwhile, have a look at this.
SAO PAULO--Companhia de Bebidas das Americas (ABEV, ABEV3.BR), or AmBev, reported a 27% increase in net profit for the fourth quarter, as revenue rose and expenses slightly decreased. The beverage company, whose brands include Skol and Brahma beer, expects a better scenario for this year, particularly in Brazil. AmBev on Wednesday posted a net profit of 4.75 billion Brazilian reais ($2.02 billion), up from BRL3.73 billion in the year-earlier period. The company's revenue increased nearly 10% at BRL11.05 billion, due to increased prices. The company's commercial expenses totaled BRL1.95 billion in the period, down from BRL1.97 billion a year earlier. "As we leave a challenging year of negative industry volumes across most of our key markets, we believe on an improved scenario in 2014, particularly in Brazil," AmBev said in a statement. "In Brazil, we see our main headwinds of last year dissipating: food inflation decelerating since the second quarter of 2013, the postponement of the federal tax increase in October 2013 supporting no real price increases by the industry and, given the poor weather faced in 2013, any return to normality should be a powerful tailwind. On top of that, the FIFA 2014 World Cup to be hosted in Brazil is expected to positively impact industry volumes, mainly during the second quarter. As a result, we are confident the Brazilian beer industry will resume growth in 2014," it added. The company said it invested a total of BRL2.8 billion in its operations in Brazil and it expects to invest a similar amount this year.

Have to say I haven't looked but assumed something along those lines. The February upwards movement and bullish sentiment is all I've looked at along with the above note. Lets see if it pushes above 730 resistance first.

TSLA
the market looks as though it likes this a lot, and not withstanding that dow is likely to open a fair bit lower following rising tensions in ukraine, a further fillip to sp today still looks on the cards
Tesla Motors, the US electric car manufacturer, announced plans to sell at least $1.6bn in convertible senior notes to raise funds for a vast new battery factory as its shares hit a record high on Wednesday.
Tesla’s stock was boosted earlier this week after a Morgan Stanley analyst said its shares could rise significantly if its effort to construct its own lithium ion battery factory puts it in a position to disrupt the wider US energy industry.

FTSE testing technical support, if 6750 does break it undermines bullish sentiment.
