you did indeed with AU for which i thanked you and willingly do so again

when a minnow oily makes a strike, of course there's a surge, but 90% of the time, there's still plenty to go for thereafter

Short Autonomy before stress test results. IMHO when results are in after EU markets close will send USA down and will hurt FTSE and Autonomy on Monday.

This time Cynic I want a bung from you.

Clubman3509 - 23 Jul 2010 15:54 - 147 of 677

Board are hiding some postive info, watch them buy in more stock before indonesia spud.

cynic - 23 Jul 2010 15:58 - 148 of 677

146 .... i read you but don't quite follow unless you reckon it's just as good a one as any to short

Clubman3509 - 23 Jul 2010 16:00 - 149 of 677

Correct

cynic - 23 Jul 2010 16:03 - 150 of 677

on that basis, one might just as well short Dow

Clubman3509 - 23 Jul 2010 16:05 - 151 of 677

Maybe, but for me shorting using spreadbetting on indices can produce huges spikes in the first hour of trading and wipe out any stop loss put in.

cynic - 23 Jul 2010 16:09 - 152 of 677

i know the feeling which is why i bravely or foolishly almost never put in stop losses .... mind you, you can get the same damn thing happening with shares too - AU yesterday was all over the shop as example

Clubman3509 - 23 Jul 2010 16:13 - 153 of 677

That is why it is easier for me to buy / sell individual stock with wide stop loss not as volatile as Indices in most case.

Short now on Autonomy with 40 point stop loss.

Clubman3509 - 23 Jul 2010 16:14 - 154 of 677

Bloody FTSE fall bringing SMDR down now.

cynic - 23 Jul 2010 16:22 - 155 of 677

forgive me for chuckling - it's not malicious i promise you

Clubman3509 - 23 Jul 2010 16:24 - 156 of 677

cynic - 23 Jul 2010 16:25 - 157 of 677

Clubman3509 - 23 Jul 2010 16:27 - 158 of 677

cynic - 23 Jul 2010 16:32 - 159 of 677

syphon some out and sell it by the can at the traffic lights

Clubman3509 - 23 Jul 2010 16:33 - 160 of 677

Cynic watch SMDR directors in the next few weeks if there are any large buys for them prior to next INDO well spud it is certain they have good knowledge about wells

cynic - 23 Jul 2010 16:37 - 161 of 677

that is true enough and thanks - i'll try to watch for same

btw, faroe may be worth a further punt on monday too .... i noticed that the buy book was much the longer

Clubman3509 - 23 Jul 2010 16:41 - 162 of 677
