The Philadelphia VA Medical Center under the leadership of Dave Oslin, MD, Associate Chief of Staff for Behavioral Health, and Dr. Johanna Klaus, Director of the Behavioral Health Lab, is partnering with U2 Interactive to offer Beating the Blues to Veterans.

Contract with California Institute for Mental Health (CiMH)

Ultrasis, the leading provider of cognitive behavioral therapy for stress and mild to moderate depression, is pleased to announce that its US joint venture, U² Interactive, has been selected as the vendor of choice by CiMH to provide Beating the Blues (BtB) within California.

CiMH has been grant funded by the California Healthcare Foundation (CHCF) to conduct a four-site evaluation of the appropriateness and effectiveness of using Computerized Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CCBT) for mental health issues in California's mental/behavioral health "safety-net" population. Given the anticipated expansion in demand for services, as part of the Accountable Care Act implementation and Medi-Cal (Californias Medicaid Program)expansion, safety net providers will need creative solutions to be capable of responding, given that existing resources are already strained and limited. Recruitment of demonstration sites is currently underway and the implementation will be supported by CiMH.

Screenetics contract win

Ultrasis announces that its recently-acquired screening and wellbeing subsidiary, Screenetics UK Limited ("Screenetics"), has won three new contracts with customers spanning the public and private sectors. The value of the contracts is an estimated £2 million per annum. The revenues are partly conditional on performance, but, based on past experience, Screenetics is confident of fulfilling the contract criteria.

Ultrasis acquired Screenetics on the 4th October 2013 as part of its strategy to broaden the range of products and services it provides and to enable it to become a provider of wellbeing, health and social care services.

The contracts relate to the provision of:

· 9,500 flu vaccinations (currently being delivered, one year contract);
· health screenings as part of a salary sacrifice scheme to a large public sector body (commences February 2014 ,three year contract); and
· employee screening to a large UK corporate company (commences spring 2014, initially one year contract).

"This is positive news for both the Screenetics team and for Ultrasis," said John Smith, Ultrasis' Chief Executive. "We are delighted to have secured these significant contracts so soon after the acquisition and believe Screenetics is now well positioned to secure further contract gains. The strength of Screentics in the wellness and screening market is their absolute focus on quality customer service and in delivering the very best experience for the individual using their services".

Kevin Hollick, Screenetics' Managing Director, said: "We have been strengthened by becoming part of the Ultrasis Group and it is encouraging to see these contracts come to fruition, I am confident that 2014 is going to be a significant year of growth for the Screenetics business. We are planning for the volume of health assessments we provide to quadruple in the next 12 months and these contracts put us well on the way to exceeding our expectations".

He added "2014 also sees the introduction of our first mobile health assessment vehicle which will initially be used to deliver a nationwide road show for a large corporate customer to promote wellbeing in the workplace".

Ultrasis PLC New Customer for Ultrasis US Joint Venture

Ultrasis Interactive is delighted to announce that its US joint venture, U Squared Interactive, has won a new contract with Starting Point Behavioral Healthcare, a Florida based Behavioural Health Not for Profit Company.

Laureen Pagel, CEO of Starting Point Behavioral Health said "--- our partnership with U(2) Interactive and the introduction of Beating the Blues to our array of evidenced-based practices has been a goal for the past year. The implementation of Beating the Blues will enhance our service delivery model, allow us to serve more clients, and improve outcomes for those suffering from depression, anxiety, and other mental health problems. We are very excited for this opportunity."

John Smith, Chief Executive at Ultrasis said "I am very excited at the opportunity to work with Starting Point and look at how they can integrate Beating the Blues into their community services. Their passion to deliver the very best service to their clients will ensure that we get the outcomes we are looking for and that can use this as a model for demonstrating the return on investment that it is possible to achieve by utilising computer delivered treatments."

U Squared interactive recently launched a white paper in partnership with Open Minds to help Insurers and Providers in the US identify the return on investment ("ROI") of using Beating the Blues within their services.

"From the payer perspective, the ROI numbers for CCBT are impressive," said Monica E. Oss, the chief executive officer of Open Minds and one of the advisors to the model development process. "Depending on the health plan size and the length of time to ROI, the return ranges from twice to ten times the initial investment in CCBT - in just reduced mental health treatment costs alone. And, whether the payer is a health plan, an Accountable Care Organisation, or a medical home, the power of CCBT to improve consumer well-being and reduce unnecessary service utilization is important."

A white paper outlining the model and the model assumptions is available at no charge in the Open Minds library at: www.openminds.com/library/white-papers/usquared-online-cbt-121913.htm

New Beating the Blues 2.0 Application Launched in the US.

Ultrasis is pleased to announce that the new application of its Computerised Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (cCBT) treatment program for depression and anxiety, Beating the Blues 2.0 (BTB 2.0) has been launched in the United States and is now available for new and existing customers.

This follows a complete updating by Ultrasis of both the technology platform and the way that the content is delivered. BTB 2.0 has been developed in close partnership with UPMC and the new application will be distributed in the US by U Squared Interactive, our joint venture with UPMC.

U Squared Interactive Board Member Sharon Hicks said "Beating the Blues 2.0 keeps all the underlying science of the original program, but updates the look, feel and usability. This is very important because while we know that the program works and works well, we also know that the user experience is very important and, with the new program, we've made it more fun and easier to use."

The new developments include:

· Availability on wide range of tablets and mobile devices

· Built to latest industry standards (SCORM)

· Improved security features

· Improved user interface

· Shorter sessions

· New graphics and content design

· Customizable content

Ultrasis chief Executive John Smith said "This is a significant milestone for Ultrasis and our efforts to target the US market. We have made some headway with the previous version of the program but the US market demands the very latest in technology. We have a number of potential customers who are waiting for BTB 2.0 to be released and looking to contract with U Squared Interactive in the coming months. We have also begun the process of wide scale marketing and have recently released a 'white paper' that details the potential return on investment of using Beating the Blues to treat depression and anxiety within the US healthcare system in conjunction with Open Minds."

He added "We will also be releasing the new application within the UK in the next 3 months and have a number of potential partnerships in other countries now that we have the capability to create translated versions in a much more cost effective way"

Acquisition of Occupational Health Business

Ultrasis announces Acquisition of Occupational Health Business.

Ultrasis the provider of healthcare and wellness services is pleased to announce that it has acquired the business and assets of an Occupational Health and Travel Clinic located in Waterloo, London for a nominal consideration. The Clinic, which was previously owned by Abermed Limited, comes with an annual income of £700,000 from contracts with self-pay clients and is currently generating a small profit. The assets transferred to Ultrasis have a nominal value attached to them.

The Clinic, which will now be known as 'Waterloo Health Clinic', provides a range of Occupational Health, Travel Advice and Vaccination Service and Employment Related Medicals.

"In line with our stated strategy, this acquisition presents an ideal opportunity to further increase the range of services that Ultrasis provides and creates a footprint within Occupational Health, a new but complementary market for the company. It also offers us the opportunity to look at new ways to promote our range of products and services directly to consumers through a 'High Street' presence" says Ultrasis Chief Executive John Smith.

He added "Abermed were looking for a suitable healthcare company to take on the management and delivery of the services and have given a four year commitment to maintain contracts at the current levels; this gives us a very solid basis on which to grow the business further and look at synergies with our recently acquired Wellness business, Screenetics. The Board are delighted to welcome the Medical, Nursing, Management and Administrative Staff to the Ultrasis Group."
