FTSE + FTSE 250 - consider trading (FTSE)

cynic - 20 Oct 2007 12:12

rather than pick out individual stocks to trade, it can often be worthwhile to trade the indices themselves, especially in times of high volatility.

for those so inclined, i attach below charts for FTSE and FTSE 250, though one might equally be tempted to trade Dow or S&P, which is significantly broader in its coverage, or even NASDAQ

for ease of reading, i have attached 1 year and 3 month charts in each instance

Do you seriously think Putin's gonna get trigger happy after just spending US$ 6.5 billion on his showcase Sochi winter olympics, Skinners?

He doesn't want a war, the west doesn't want a war, and the market doesn't think there's gonna be a war. He's just sabre rattling to make sure no other folk in one of those former Russian states decide they want to be a part of Europe anytime soon.

Really, you boys do crack me up sometimes. :o)

And Ronald McDonald certainly doesn't want a war!
