Taking a real hammering this morning.
400p on the cards and then that might not prop it up.
Cant see too many instituions wanting to take placements up in this climate.

was thinking of putting a limit of 400 on this short position, but am more inclined to let it keep running

The 400p is critical and expect high volatility around it, maybe even a false break - who knows!

384p/385p then?.

It could well bounce on 400p but also spend some time around that level - look at Nov/Dec06 on the graph. IF it does break lower, Fibonacci supports at 360p and 294p.

Cheers GH.
Looks very unstable to me at the moment. I suppose triggers will go off at 400p as we have seen in previous days on round figures.
Just depends if there are more sells than buy triggers set. Collapse could then set in.

We twice tested below 400p in Nov/Dec and it failed to break. Take care but I'm not closing too soon.

Pis closing in there herds. Not just triggers either, quite a few O sells in there.

Gh re to your comment above. Surely volumes nov/dec were a lot higher than today.
Is there going to be the volume to prop this one up in this market today?.

nothing falls or rises in a straight line .... trhe question is not whether or not there will be support at 400, but whether or not it will hold for say the next week, thus reinforcing same ...... hard one to call

Yes, the volumes were higher on 11th and 19th Dec.

Seems you guys were correct at your short start point. Well done.
Poor old GF never made a sou, and now it's all too late for him.
I feel cheated though, he did promise 585p didn't he.?
Lucky I didn't listen to him, and heeded your words. Baled at 452p for a loss, which I now hope to regain prior to results day. Still, 22K in the bank is not to be sniffed at.
Thanks SOLA.

not really or not always ..... can't buy or sell everything that takes one's fancy ..... i was arguably wrong to close my Dow short on friday night at a good profit, as index tumbled a further 80/100, but today's indicated recovery shows that i got it about right

We're probably going to have lots of runs at 400p, not just today but possibly in the coming weeks - unless it goes decisively one way or t'other.

400p is very strong support.!!!!
