Referendum : to be in Europe or not to be ?, that is the question ! (REF)

required field - 03 Feb 2016 10:00

Thought I'd start a new thread as this is going to be a major talking point this year...have not made up my mind yet...(unlike bucksfizz)....but thinking of voting for an exit as Europe is not doing Britain any good at all it seems....

cynic - 10 Mar 2016 16:52 - 146 of 12628

gosh; i blush
not used to receiving compliments, but i thank you

not sure what, if anything you disagree with in my argument

''uk will be the sacrificial lamb insofar as we won't have any say''

The UK have a say but nobody listens ----- 0 from 72 is the UK score on 'say'

The stay in group is still ahead.

Euro boost apparently.....it won't have any effect I bet....there are too many taxes in Europe now and that includes the UK......if governments want economies to prosper : they have to cut taxes that encourage people to work !......

Stan - 10 Mar 2016 20:18 - 151 of 12628

Same old right wing rhetoric, if you want people to work then you put the wages and conditions up.

MaxK - 10 Mar 2016 21:05 - 152 of 12628

Same old left wing rhetoric, put up wages but don't ask where the money is coming from.

Stan - 10 Mar 2016 21:14 - 153 of 12628

If it's all right for people at the top to claim they need an incentive then why not all within the organisation and those not working? Nothing to do with left at all.

Haystack - 11 Mar 2016 01:24 - 154 of 12628

Many businesses are run on the basis of paying the lowest wages possible. There is not much that can be done about it, especially if the job is unskilled.

Stan - 11 Mar 2016 08:07 - 155 of 12628

Exactly, low wage Rip-off Britain set up by your "Con" artists in the 80's maintained by Tory Blair in the 90's and so on, and yes there is a lot that we can do about it.

cynic - 11 Mar 2016 08:25 - 156 of 12628

stan - before you berate uk businesses, just check out where most of all the extra jobs are going in US

Stan - 11 Mar 2016 08:36 - 157 of 12628

No berating there Alf.. just evidence that you and the other "Con" artist voters don't like.

cynic - 11 Mar 2016 08:39 - 158 of 12628

i make no comment other than already made

Stan - 11 Mar 2016 08:41 - 159 of 12628

In other words you agree with the evidence provided.

jimmy b - 11 Mar 2016 08:44 - 160 of 12628

Look out Stan's got an opinion . IN or OUT Stan ????????????????????????

Stan - 11 Mar 2016 08:49 - 161 of 12628

Oh it's you again.. who rang your bell?

MaxK - 11 Mar 2016 08:52 - 162 of 12628

"Nowhere Man"

He's a real nowhere man
Sitting in his nowhere land
Making all his nowhere plans for nobody

Doesn't have a point of view
Knows not where he's going to
Isn't he a bit like you and me?

Nowhere Man, please listen
You don't know what you're missing
Nowhere Man, the world is at your command

He's as blind as he can be
Just sees what he wants to see
Nowhere Man can you see me at all?

Nowhere Man, don't worry
Take your time, don't hurry
Leave it all till somebody else lends you a hand

Doesn't have a point of view
Knows not where he's going to
Isn't he a bit like you and me?

Nowhere Man, please listen
You don't know what you're missing
Nowhere Man, the world is at your command

He's a real Nowhere Man
Sitting in his nowhere land
Making all his nowhere plans for nobody
Making all his nowhere plans for nobody
Making all his nowhere plans for nobody

Listen to Boris - he makes a lot of sense to me .......
I have thought we should be out for years, as worked with EU on Aid Projects and was paid very well, but did not get half as much as the EU delegates themselves.

We will be far better off out. Give me some good arguments why we should stay in.

I invite anybody to try and convince me to vote to stay in.

Of course it will not be easy initially, and may take us a couple of years to get our EU shackles off, but given say 3 or 4 years we will prosper more than those remaining in. If we leave, it may only be a matter of time before Greece leaves and maybe Italy. Maybe France and Germany are now secretly wishing they were not in any more.

We should show GUTS and start this ball rolling.

cynic - 11 Mar 2016 13:29 - 165 of 12628

kirky - read 138 (yes, i know it's mine) for it may give you something on which to ponder
