If you need newspapers have them delivered, but why not do a bit towards saving the planet and cancel them altogether. Just think about all that Tony Blair and the wicked witch of the west stuff you wouldn't have to read.

jj50 - 26 Sep 2004 11:30 - 14646 of 23498

Yes Socs. but then you switch on the TV with your slice of toast and there in front of you is Tony Blair being interviewed by Frost - instant indigestion..

Morning bunny, choccie, opto. Isn't it a cat you bunny - low maintenance of course!

jj50 - 26 Sep 2004 11:33 - 14647 of 23498

Sunday morning and just thinking about Martini's Sunday newspaper review. Has he vanished without trace or wandering around Oxon wondering what to do with all his new found free time? He did a good job taking over from Croc without missing a week.

I have a modern television and it has a wonderful new facility, it's called an "Off" switch. I use it all the time, news, current affairs, celebs etc all cause immediate activation. I recommend it to you.

jj50 - 26 Sep 2004 11:39 - 14649 of 23498

Such wisdom ..... now I know why you are called Socrates and I am just two letters and some random number :-)

aldwickk - 26 Sep 2004 12:00 - 14650 of 23498

Morning all.

I am looking for a company that deals CFD's in small caps and also in spread bets, Blue index don't deal under 30 mill cap , Hargreave Hale brokers said they deal CFD's in nearly all AIM stocks, so as anyone got any info or advice or have dealt with these companys as well spread bet companys such as IG index.

cheers ALD.

chocolat - 26 Sep 2004 12:19 - 14651 of 23498

aldwickk - try www.manspreadtrading.com. Downside is they won't be online until the end of the year, phone trades only at present - but they do deal in smallcaps.

STORMCALLER - 26 Sep 2004 12:32 - 14652 of 23498

Good afternoon all,
Busy morning in here, almost makes me feel guilty for being late...But then again I have got up, cleaned, made breakfast, done washing, washed up, put food out for birds and fed fish. I think I've earned a Guinness.

jeffmack,
Story in the Sunday Express, probably moonshine, that Vialli is going to buy out the Millwall chairman! That would link him up again with Wise / Wilkins.
Any more ex-blues and you might get Hilary down for memory lane visit....lol

amberjane - 26 Sep 2004 12:52 - 14653 of 23498

Afternoon all, see you all finally managed to get up then!!! good sense of humour this morning, I've found it a little easier to follow today...thank god coz my head feels sort of um......

Private messager...thanks but I cannot respond as you have never posted (unless IanT pops up and tells me how). tout. Yes my friend was suprised you missed her but I'm pleased thats all and that it wasnt todays!!!!!

Right jobs to do today....none! 2 for 1 pub for sunday lunch & if Hils pops up and tells me where....

amberjane - 26 Sep 2004 13:33 - 14654 of 23498

Oppps, seeing Stormie mention fish i went out to feed ours. Yesterday the pond looked a bit low so I put the hose on....and it's still on!Ho ho. Anyway it's lovely and clear, just hope the neighbours dont go in their garden today....it seems to be flooded!

Golddog - 26 Sep 2004 14:22 - 14655 of 23498

amber, one of the many jobs of having a pond hey! although this year what with all the rain i have not found it necessary to re-fill the pond much. I hope none of your fish escaped nextdoor! :-)

jj, In response to your question, i am off to Spain again.

I have no idea who the number is? if it adds up to 8 is it 8 ball?

STORMCALLER - 26 Sep 2004 14:24 - 14656 of 23498

Amber,
Hope your fish like their new bigger home...lol, have had a similar experience, albeit only flooded my garden, fortunately no fish decamped.

Socrates - 26 Sep 2004 15:58 - 14657 of 23498

What ho! I have just returned from a sojourn at an antiques fair. That's what weekends are for, not all this grass mowing, fishpond drowning, painting etc. Get a life you lot, lay back and enjoy it.

Now, a decision has to be made and involves deciding what type of bottle to open. Any suggestions?

chocolat - 26 Sep 2004 16:10 - 14658 of 23498

Preferably a full one, Socks.

...or were you thinking of emptying your hottie?

Socrates - 26 Sep 2004 17:07 - 14659 of 23498

I thought you were my hottie, but I'll settle for real lemonade.

jeffmack - 26 Sep 2004 18:19 - 14660 of 23498

The chairman wants out end of this year, there has already been some yank buying shares but vialli is interesting.

Its evening time, you can all come out to play.
