GOLDFINGERS STOCK PICKS. (CLAS)

goldfinger - 03 Nov 2003 01:07

Hi Guys back of Holiday but not yet really settled down. Needed the break as I havent had a holiday in 5 years. Just been resting up at home.

Back to the stocks. Well lets face it last week was a stinker, simple as that. Interest rates hike hanging over the market and the tiddlers getting hurt most as all of the extra cost will fall to the bottom line. Lets hope for a better week.

Update on stocks.

I D DATA- hoping for this one to carry on from Friday and start to rise again. About 4 weeks to results so we may get a good run plus a contract win is get to be confirmed.

INCITE HOLDINGS - strange happenings at this company last week but apparantley big orders were being filled for institutional players, in fact a pal of mine on another site who is a big holder was contacted to see if he wanted to sell any of his holding and he gave them a quick no chance answer.

BEMA GOLD - fell back by about 10 points last week on averageish results. Fact of the matter is that a Miner should be judged on NAV and not earnings, due to physical nature of the business.

JUST CAR CLINICS - TA uptrend in place and company released two very interesting pieces of news on its web site that should see further support.

CENTURION ELECTRONICS - gave back a bit of ground last week but uptrend trully in place.

HCEG - another that gave ground back last week but there was some good news later in the week refering to warrants. Seems holders on a certain date will be awarded a warrant for every XXX share held . Ask me in the morning.

PIPEX - changed name last week had an up and down week but I added yet again. Great growth potential here.

NEW RECOMMENDATION

Going to go in for SCI ENTERTAINMENT SEG in the morning. Saturday paper confirmed that trading was well in front of budget and this backed up what Evil Knievil had been saying last week. EK feels that this is one of the cheapest stocks on the Whole Market, and we should get a good run up to Xmas with the new Desert Storm offering (sorry not an expert on games).
DYOR and if you buy watch the spread in the first hour or so, the MMS read the newspapers just like us, dont get sucked in. Remember you are responsible for your own buy and sell actions, we dont want any whimps complaining if they lose money. Only use money that you camn afford to lose and remember this is investing. If you want a quick fix, I suggest you go down to your local bookies , casino or boozer and play on the one armed bandit. We are all adults.

gf.

ps, sorry forgot Service Power Tech - special update on that sometime monday.

Metooxx (i can carry on shorting stocks )

Shorting stocks is very unethnical do you not think of the damage and upset you can cause to all of us honest shareholders.Over the last six months i have bought shell at 412p and Lloyds at 447p thinking i would get a nice decent return on my investment and what has happened i have just sold lloyds at 396p and shell for 376p losing nearly 48000.All Because of pricks and gutterlife like yourself, who have the cheek to borrow stock that you dont own and then what do you do,you go on and sell it with the intent and purpose of damaging and lowering the price of what was a perfectly good stock, Do you not have a conscience you should be sent to jail for what you have done,i suggest you dont come back on this bb because you and all the other lowlife who practice short selling are not welcome on here i am sure i speak for the majority of posters on here.
Regards lobster

Kayak - 23 Nov 2003 23:57 - 148 of 227

lobster, if you thought about it a bit more deeply you would realise that shorters must eventually close their position by buying, so providing you are a long term holder you are not likely to be affected. In fact, if you are considering investing in a share you will obtain a far better deal if the price has indeed been depressed by shorting. If you are trying to speculate on short term movements then of course shorting is merely another tool you can use to make money. Also bear in mind that most downward movements are, or begin with, profit taking rather than shorting. Learn to take profits and you won't be affected by shorting.

Generally speaking, hating shorters will get you nowhere. They are a fact of life and one which provides you with great opportunity if you accept them as that.

goldfinger - 24 Nov 2003 00:26 - 149 of 227

Lobster, best thing to do is just ignore them. You get these people on the boards having a dig at individuals because deep down they are jealous. And get a kink from abusing others. Just best to put the squelch on and if its a personal attack report it to admin ( use the contact button on the very top bar second from right).

They then monitor the activities of the person reported. A well known one on this thread where I have the squelch on is being monitored on every post. I recieved a very nice e-mail from non - other than the Managing Director of the site himself. Im sure when he as put so much into this business venture both time and money he is not going to let a minority of people spoilt it.

Very sorry to hear about your losses, im sure you will make the money back over time, it was nice to see the shorters in Regus being burnt alive in a Bear trap this week, beleive me a lot of them will never trade again.

Good luck and cheers GF.

goldfinger - 24 Nov 2003 00:31 - 150 of 227

Looking forward to the next week and hope the 'feel good factor will kick in, in the morning. The market usually goes up when we geet a sporting triumph and non come bigger than the one at the weekend. Well done Jonny and the boys.

Have a good week.

cheers GF.

You guys will get to know goldfinger for what he really is soon, not my usual style to do this, but I think it's best that newbies are forewarned.

Reporting again eh golfinger, it isn't going to work.

Some of you are very niave, multiple postings under different usernames in the USA on the same board was prosecuted in the USA. Some guy ramped one stock & invented several different usernames, so it looked like all these different people agreed with each other.

What did they say on Motley fool about you?

Ego as big as Pavoroti & A personality disorder.....Even threatened to floor someone because they disagreed with you

Read his posts the ones that haven't been removed here:

Ciao ....Someone has spoken in Italian to you on Sharecrazy....Can't wait to see if you reply in Italian.....After all you are from Italy!!

sinutab - 24 Nov 2003 10:03 - 152 of 227

Thirdeye this board is for debating shares and swapping ideas.

you are using it as a place for personal attack and from gfs posts

i cannot find any thing wrong at all on here.

i have made money from his tips and think you have a bitter heart towards

him.

i have seen some of your attacks on others on other boards, remember harry

potter on the aim site.

please stay off this board if you arent going to contribute positive.

no tips from you at all why?. your constant rantings are childish.

ThirdEye - 24 Nov 2003 10:12 - 153 of 227

My tip is to avoid JCR sinutab, 14p bid, Goldfinger I think was pushing this one upto 40p.

Check the debt & repayments due. All pushed on a p/e of 1 or 2 without mention of the huge gearing....how responsible.

sinutab - 24 Nov 2003 10:34 - 154 of 227

Thirdeye i bought jcr at 14p when tipped by gf and sold at 37p.

he is slater on sharecrazy and he warned holders to sell when this

price. we are adults on this site.

where are your tips?. make tips or please go.

hopping - 24 Nov 2003 11:02 - 155 of 227

sinutab
Where is the post warning to sell JCR..?
Hopping.

goldfinger - 24 Nov 2003 11:39 - 156 of 227

Morning I see the boo boys are at it again. The poster named hopping is very much in the thirdeye category, please just take time out now to look at his posts on this thread in fact on this board. Yes lets get one thing clear I do go under the name of slater on SC and did tip JCR at around 10p and all the usual warnings about DYOR accompanied it.

The majority of buyers of this stock on my recommendation made a a good return and I did warn when it had gotten into the mid 30s that I thought there would be profit taking as I felt the share had gotten away. In fact I posted private messages to some on this very subject.( not sure if you were one sinutab as I dont know your SC posting user name.)

The share subsequently went on up to 40p ish. And then dropped on results due to a warning that trade in July and August had been Slightly down on the year before. I take it from hoppings actions and personal attacks that he was one of those who through their own poor performing investment stratergy were left holding the share at a much reduced profit.

The only other way I can attribit his personal attacks are again through jealousy/inadequacy, I was reading an article/research report on a US board only a few days ago, which found that a lot of the snipers on B/Boards as per obscene telephone calls, are sexually inadequate people. Food for thought for the Boo Boys.

Back to the markets, A fine start to the day, now keeping fingers crossed for a US follow on.

cheers GF.

sinutab - 24 Nov 2003 11:46 - 157 of 227

viagra needed for all the boo boys.

gf yes you did private message me.

any new tips?

hopping - 24 Nov 2003 12:01 - 158 of 227

goldfinger.
Re JCR
I am not disputing that the share did go up. understandable as it was heavily hyped on so many boards by so many different names.
People will follow blindly if they see easy money hence a price rise that couldnt be maintained.
it then felll drastically when someone sold out.
But where was your post warning to get out at this level, was it after you sold or did you give time for them to get out first.
Do you see how many trades for this share today 5 yes FIVE now the hype has stopped hardly an active share.
And let us keep it Civil if possible, I am mearly stating my view as a warning of overhyped shares so that newcomers will not get sucked in wether it be from you or any other..
Hopping

goldfinger - 24 Nov 2003 12:50 - 159 of 227

Hopping, you said............ But where was your post warning to get out at this level, was it after you sold or did you give time for them to get out first.

I sold the top of my holding at around 24p well after the the warning and the rise up to 40p. In fact it was around only 15% of my holding at the time. I subsequently added more stock and have more stock now than at any other time. I am certainly in for the long term.

You have been trying to point a finger at me for this over a few weeks now. If you feel you have a case by all means report it to the FSA, otherwise as you say, lets keep things civil and dont you feel an appolgy should be given.

GF.

hopping - 24 Nov 2003 12:59 - 160 of 227

goldfinger.
Why on earth should I make an apology.
I asked where is the post advising the sale of before the drop.
Why were PRIVATE messages warning to sell and not given on the board as was the advice to buy.
Just seems strange to me.
And I am trying to give advice to others what I see.

Hopping

richstuch - 24 Nov 2003 13:14 - 161 of 227

Personally, I don't care whether GF's tips are good or not (well, I do but read on and you'll see what I mean). The fact of the matter is that advice is given here on a 'take it or leave it' basis.
If you think people are ramping a stock - ignore them
If you think a persons tips are rubbish - ignore them
It's easy really

Hopping. You said "............ But where was your post warning to get out at this level, was it after you sold or did you give time for them to get out first".

My question is, WHY should GF be obliged to post such a warning? I'm sure that if he had the time and the relevant information to predict such a fall, he would. Do you pay him commision?? Do you have some kind of contract with him that says you MUST make money on his tips or you get compensated?? I doubt it.

Whether GF's tips are good or not, you have the oportunity to DYOR. I find that GF always backs up his tips with reports from various sources or provides links to articles to substantiate his claims (this isn't true of rampers).

This wasn't intended to be a 'pro GF' post but it appears that others are 'anti GF' for some reason that I haven't been able to grasp (and my point of view relates to all situations like these - not JUST GF's).

I'm getting really fed up of people posting here just to attack others when they are trying to lend a helping hand. If you don't want a helping hand, then fine. If you think someone is posting misleading information, don't just attack them. Post some information to indicate the other side of the arguement. If you CAN'T post the 'other side' then there is no arguement. An arguement by definition is a difference of opinion.

Let's hope we can start talking about shares again soon.

Rich

I am sure the MAJORITY feel the same as post 160.
I for one do and would love to get the board back to how it was.

re:160

GF - go for it as there will always be "guys who think that the sun is shining out of their a***" and reckon they have a point to prove -whereas they should be concentrating on their own trades and if they are so good etc why dont they start their own thread and see what they can come up with. This is a traders board and should have harmony not disruption.No-one is forcing them to take any trades -if they dont like it leave it.
You are doing a fine job and carry on -dont let them deter you.Its their loss.
