Hello everyone, what a fun day. Just spent an interesting half hour trying to work the PTG 15:1 consolidation out on my finance programme (Quicken). Eventually found it under "Scrip Issues", naturally the first place anyone would look!

My council re-cycling truck has not been around again. I shall have to have a quick trip out because I'm knee deep in bottles and old newspaper. Happy days.

sounds like you need to cut down on the chips and milk then socs...:>)

Hils/Jeffers...
Coincidence but today played in "Old Farts" league at nearby Stellenbosch Golf Course, one of my two opponents was an ex-Ceo of Alexcor.

Very interesting hearing him tell how that mine progressed over the years and the rewards gained plus his views on the 'so called' indigenous San people who now claim it as their birthright...according to him and he is an Afrikaaner
"They're nothing but a bunch of gyppos after a freebie".

He reckons it will only ever be solved by black empowerment which prob would take any truly International mining exploration company out of the game.

I realise that Angola is the big hope but lingering thoughts re Alexcor are still there; v.big buys today by the by......
:-0))

hilary - 27 Sep 2004 18:29 - 14730 of 23498

Hello Winks,

Glad to see that you've still got time for the important things in life ........ like golf.

:o)

Forget about Alexkor completely. It's history, imo. Concentrate solely on Angola. Angola dwarfs Alexkor which has proved little more than a convenient distraction during the Force Majeure. I don't like to say this, but there has been a history of mismanagement at Alexkor for years before Nabera turned it. When was your hoppo the ceo?

And the big trades today ..... looks like a rollover to me. They'll hold the price back till that's either funded or they're out of the market.

Patience Rodders.

Kayak,
I'm a little bit late on picking up on this but one thing I have found is that the eastern european women are not ones who smile a lot. I'm sure that jj would be quite different, and you should be so lucky!!

amberjane - 27 Sep 2004 19:10 - 14732 of 23498

I'm not eastern european and I DO smile a lot....... when I'm happy. Feel a bit alone right now though so Opto, cuddles please.....

Socrates - 27 Sep 2004 19:17 - 14733 of 23498

I was just talking to you on the PTG thread and now you're over here!

Free of what Jeffmack, have you heard from the clinic!

Kayak - 27 Sep 2004 19:30 - 14736 of 23498

You're right actually opto, this one never offered me a smile. Nor anything else for that matter. I'm sure any of the girls here would be much more friendly.

optomistic - 27 Sep 2004 19:32 - 14737 of 23498

Ambber I have been away writing things on other threads and have only just read your post. I'll give you the hugest and longest cuddle, please be happy:0)

Ohhh I feel lovely and warm now, loads of cuddles, everyone likes to feel special for a second now and then and you've just done it.

optomistic - 27 Sep 2004 19:42 - 14740 of 23498

Kayak, my experience came from my recent holiday when we had two young women serving our table, no smiles, no personality, nothing. Our table partners mentioned how dour they were and from my seeing their countrypeople in my own area I mentioned that they were probably Kosovans, which we duly found out that they were.(Were they working illegaly I do not Know) The problem was how to leave a tip to such unfriendly and miserable girls. I overcame this by giving to a happy Welsh girl serving on another table, she was delighted. We have to keep them but I am not happy to tolerate their attitude.

optomistic - 27 Sep 2004 19:44 - 14741 of 23498

Socs I offered first. Amber I will give you another cuddle later. Can't wait.

amberjane - 27 Sep 2004 19:50 - 14742 of 23498
