bling/seq
not long ago (last quarter of last year) I predicted that your former incarnation would be banned from MAM and it came to pass. I again predict that you will soon lose control, become abusive and finally go the same way as your previous self.
When this happens, please come back soon - you give us all such a great laugh. Why not tell us now what your next name will be and we can get down to the nitty gritty as soon as you return, without the foreplay?
P.S. You call my posts cretinous - the words pot kettle and black come to mind.

Who is 'we', bestblinds?
I dont recall you ever posting here before - have you ever made a constructive post here? Have you ever given us an incisive take on whats going on SEO wise?
I've taken part in many business meetings at board level - always 20% substance and 80% dribble - why should it be any different here?
'Some of us are interested in investments' - so tell us what you think about SEO. Whats your take on the current situation.

Time for a reality check, back to the share topic or we will start banning. This warning applies to a number of posters on here.

yes that oblomov seems to be upsetting a lot of folk, but it takes all sorts.
Short SEO appears to raise hackles, why that should be is odd, as it has halved over the last few months, but there you go some people seem to like losing money.
Stay short Brent Crude as the weather improves, plenty oil around.

Don't ban me Bullshare, PLEASE, but....
Blinger, you shorted, and insisted we should all short, SEO on 01/12/2005, at 12p. Please explain how this was a profitable move. I cannot see how this has made any money at all. I know you can read my posts, cos whenever I post this question you refer darkly to trading the stock, but to my simple mind, the rise has been such since then that you cannot have treded yourself into profit.
Please enlighten us inferior ones as to how this miracle was performed.
Someone who isn't on blingers idiot list, please ask the same question of him, because if he has achieved this, then we are in the midst of the greatest investor of all time. If not.........................

Hi Eric welcome back
I'm sure several of the 'old timers' have either left this thread for good or, like me, still drop in from time to time to read the good stuff that can be found here. Some of the vitriolic name-calling gets quite trying after a while, but there is some good humour too.
I'm still sitting on my modest holding in SEO, including a couple of small CFD's...trying to emulate you and Ms Dynamite ( not heard from that lady for some time )...in profit and happy to see where it goes from here.
Good luck to all holders.
Regards Ruthie

Is it true that Evolution Beeson Gregory have said that Bioprogress sold the Stanelco stock because "they need the money" ?
I have read this on other websites, but has anyone here received this information direct from the source ?
Also has anyone here had any recent contact with anyone from Stanelco, and can they tell us if any news is likely before the results ?

the reason that BPRG dumped the stock is because they see no future holding it, better to take the 1m cash now then to wait for it to half in a few months.

Hi Ruthie: nice to hear from you. Have just dipped my toe back into SEO. I have a hunch that it will suddenly move; may be with the results. Mind the results won't be much to shout about, figure wise, but they will presumably give a much better picture about the market and progress. But new from the US could come sooner: Greenseal machines have been sent to their engineering partners whcih means that they should be installed round about now, possibly on a trial basis. I doubt whether SEO want to say anything until there is hard business. Its good that the share has lost its volatility. Interesting that the BPRG shares were gobbled up easily so there is probably a lot of funds waiting in the wings. But I am still fearful of some depressing statement re slow progress with greenseal at ASDA and the 200 for this year not being met. The other point of interest is the chart. The Bollinger Bands are drawing in so that a break-out could be very significant. More likely N than S but its a time for caution.

I recall a mention sometime about 1m being put aside by SEO for the cc. Can anyone recall when this was done and the knock-on effect on the books?

Garyble, Hi
The last full year accounts to October 2004 contained statements that the Board had made provision against "this litigation and possible outcomes based on legal advice". The notes described a Provision of 1,081,000 made in that year as "best estimates of the costs incurred and committed in respect of recent change of strategy, restructuring and actions in defence of patents". The Accounts contained a figure of 1,669,000. Presumably made up of the 1,081,000 plus 588,000 actual spend in the year on these matters, adjusted by brought forwards from the preceding year.
Ian B said at the EGM last August 1million had been provided in the accounts - presumably part, if not all, of the 1,081,000 above. This being so the settlement would not affect the 2005 or 6 P&L Accounts. Legal costs might though.
The issuing of the shares last week should not have involved any material cash drain, it being effectively a Balance Sheet accounting adjustment of increasing the Issued Capital and writing out the Provision.
Ian also said they had enough cash for 18 months at the (then) level of activities. A year left now? But with Greenseal and possibly other revenues already coming in this would have changed by now.
We should know more when the 2005 Accounts and Reports are released at the end of this month.

From the preliminary results to 31st October 2004 - Note 4.
"Other provisions relate primarily to best estimates of the costs incurred and
committed in respect of the recent change of strategy, restructuring and actions
in defence of patents." The amount reserved was 1,081,000, but no telling how much was for non cc issues and how much of the cc reserve was for either costs or for damages.
So yes, garyble, you remember corerctly, but it does not tell us much. This issue has now been resolved and hopefully this item can have been washed through the accounts as of 31st October 2005, with full provision being contained therein, other than the recent share issue to BRPG, and no future implications to worry about.
It is interesting that, from a position where the court ruled 1 patent was owned by BRPG (whith some joint rights attaching to SEO) and 2 were owned by SEO, the settlement is a sharing of all 3 between them AND 1m compensation flowing adversely to SEO.
Using a share issue, so all investors paid equitably (dilution of about 5%) without reducing SEO's working capital seems to have been a smart idea. Also, in future, I hope we won't have to wait 5 months for prelims each year (so they could include the cc resolution this year, presumably) but nearer 3.
I share broadly Eric's view of mid to long term optimism tempered by the intervening short terms risks of adverse news on progress. My stop loss is 14p midprice (13.75p bid). If it drops through this point, there is almost certainly an opportunity of buying back in at say 12p, thereby pumping up the value of ones holding through a little short term trading. Long-term this could easily be 1.40 within 5 years.

So we just interpolate the 1.40 in 5 years to mean " it could easily be 40p in a year", or then extrapolate to see 11.40 in 10 years, my, some company???
Yep it sounds really good +200+% a year- without a crystal ball too- er rubbish!!!
