FTSE + FTSE 250 - consider trading (FTSE)

cynic - 20 Oct 2007 12:12

rather than pick out individual stocks to trade, it can often be worthwhile to trade the indices themselves, especially in times of high volatility.

for those so inclined, i attach below charts for FTSE and FTSE 250, though one might equally be tempted to trade Dow or S&P, which is significantly broader in its coverage, or even NASDAQ

for ease of reading, i have attached 1 year and 3 month charts in each instance

As we're doign charts he's what I'm working too.

I take Hilarys point over the duration of the current fall, however the 3 hard rules of Elliott Waves can not be broken. Have a look at wave 3 again... On Edit and also Wave 4 overlapping Wave 1.

Rule 1: Wave 2 cannot retrace more than 100% of Wave 1.
Rule 2: Wave 3 can never be the shortest of the three impulse waves.
Rule 3: Wave 4 can never overlap Wave 1.

So a bit like fight club then.

Shortie - 14 Mar 2014 11:09 - 14747 of 21973

Ignore me, I'm reading this wrong, 5 is the 3rd impulse wave and so the longest.... Doah.. right for the billion-fh look..

Wave 4 yet to happen
