FTSE + FTSE 250 - consider trading (FTSE)

cynic - 20 Oct 2007 12:12

rather than pick out individual stocks to trade, it can often be worthwhile to trade the indices themselves, especially in times of high volatility.

for those so inclined, i attach below charts for FTSE and FTSE 250, though one might equally be tempted to trade Dow or S&P, which is significantly broader in its coverage, or even NASDAQ

for ease of reading, i have attached 1 year and 3 month charts in each instance

Yes thats what Osbourne said on Andrew Mar Sunday morning. I bought TW. when (Credit Suisse) said the ride for housebuilding shares was over last week .

Seymour Clearly - 17 Mar 2014 08:34 - 14784 of 21973

I so nearly sold TW. last week after a ride from 70p. Sometimes lethargy is rewarding :-)

Should soon start to benefit the minnows...OMI...GFM(zinc and gold)....and perhaps a few explorers as projects become feasible again....though you need longterm hedging for that perhaps..
