This has got to take off soon...entering the main market any moment now so fund managers and sorts should take the plunge in one way or another, crude is rising very rapidly so my view this has to jump up a few pennies any moment now !.

required field - 07 May 2009 13:34 - 149 of 3666

I wish somebody would do something about the graph here...I'm optimistic but that graph is way over the top ; expecting 10 per share.....well I won't complain if it rockets like that !.

moneyplus - 07 May 2009 14:24 - 150 of 3666

Don't be too sure about that rf--there are some very big buys going through on this one. small pi s are being squeezed out by the big boys getting in early--I hope!!

required field - 07 May 2009 14:27 - 151 of 3666

I mean the graph is as that somebody expects this to fly up to that level...apologies if I did not quite put that right !.

required field - 07 May 2009 14:56 - 152 of 3666

Not getting any sp reading at the moment, anybody in the same boat ?.

required field - 07 May 2009 15:00 - 153 of 3666

It's come back now !, weird.

oilyrag - 07 May 2009 17:36 - 154 of 3666

I suspect sp is a little slow due to insti's getting more stock at 30p and being able to sell their old stock at 40p. No brainer really, due to the credit crunch. Easy money for them. Then they supress the price and get back in below their exit level.

[Dow Jones] Bank of America Merrill Lynch upgrades Afren (AFR.LN) to buy from neutral. Says its recent equity raising enables Afren to develop the Ebok field and should dissipate investor concerns about its financial flexibility. Sees Afren offering a compelling risk/reward profile based on its reduced financial risk, potential to surprise on the upside on reserves and volumes and its ability to exploit opportunities in Nigeria. Increases the price target to 72p from 52p. Shares closed Friday at 40.5p. (ANT)

Cup and handle pattern formed now, this is a very bullish sign and reflects crude chart. Should put a big smile on our faces in afew years or even months time.

Nar1 - 12 May 2009 16:40 - 163 of 3666

required field - 13 May 2009 15:44 - 166 of 3666

The dollar is starting to drop quite a bit ...used to be $1.40 to the pound now $1.52 and dropping, if this trend continues this will fuel the price of oil (nice pun that !)....the tankers outside Rotterdam waiting to unload might be for customers that have bought at a very low price...when that is used up it will be more expensive.

blanche - 29 May 2009 15:17 - 167 of 3666

Oil well through $60 now afren on the brink of a breakout at 50p remember not long a go 14p. Come on peeps buy in! 2.00 here we come.
