i was wondering if anyone out there had any strong views? this company appears to be delivering and has just turned EBITA positive after a great trading statement last week. seems like upside to +200p once results are out.
any comments or thoughts would be appreciated.

Prop,
Many thanks for that summary. Have had a look at the website and there is a lot of info to take in. Will look in greater detail over the weekend.
Good to hear that the consumer part is only a small part of the business, as prices to consumers seem to be falling.
As to the inflection point, was that at 68p a few days ago? Did a bit of that in calculus at university, but has long since been forgotten!

ok, maybe i am bastardising a bit of statistical terminology. what i am basing the inflection point on is just from some basic chartist moves. big bounce with a three day 10p move.
basically, in non technical terms fill 'yr boots sir!

LOL! Thats a good term Prop! My heads spinning already, so much tech stuff on the website, and thats without me getting the calculus notes out.
Looked at a 3 yr chart and seems to be at the bottom range. Lots to look over this weekend. May have to save the filling of the boots until next weekend.
IG and Fins still at call to trade.

Prop, didn't have much time over the last few days so am still looking. Taken a bat to the head today over MPH so not had much time today either. Still watching closely though, or as close as you can whilst losing money elsewhere!

Easynet launches 1st wholesale broadband alternative to BT UPDATE
AFX
(Updating to include more details, comments from an interview with chief executive. Recasts lead paragraph)
LONDON (AFX) - Easynet Group PLC, the UK telecoms group, this morning launched the first alternative to BT Group PLC in the market for wholesale high-speed internet access.
Easynet's new LLUStream will compete directly with BT's IPStream and DataStream, which are currently the only products allowing alternate telecoms groups to 'rent' broadband connections to UK consumers and small businesses.
'There is plenty of demand for an alternative to IPStream as it's not ideal to be locked in to one supplier from both quality and (price) negotiation perspectives,' said David Howe in a telephone interview with AFX News.
Under the current market dynamics, most consumer broadband access suppliers
'rent' a connection to a household from BT, which they then sell on to end users for a profit.
For a large broadband supplier, such as AOL, the cost of a renting a high-speed line would be around 9 stg per month, according to industry analysts. Easynet, which has its own fibreoptic network and 'unbundled' access to over 240 local telecoms exchanges, is believed to be proposing bulk monthly rates of around 6 stg per broadband line.
'The cost of our network is very low and we can compete with BT head on if we want to,' said Rowe, who stressed that Easynet's LLUStream product would also offer much faster broadband access than BT IPStream.

Easynet throws down the gauntlet on broadband
Paul Durman
BT GROUP will this week face the first serious challenge to its dominance of the wholesale broadband market when rival Easynet launches a cheaper and faster service.
The move is likely to lead to further cuts in the retail cost of broadband, as well as the introduction of television-style services in urban areas.
At present internet-service providers (ISPs) such as AOL, Wanadoo and Tiscali have to rely on BT to supply broadband to their customers because BT owns the copper wires that connect the nation to its local exchanges.
Easynet is expected to announce tomorrow that it is launching a rival wholesale product that could cost as little as 6 per month per customer for volume buyers such as the big ISPs. BT charges about 10 a month, though smaller firms have to pay significantly more.
Easynet will offer internet speeds of up to 8 megabits per second far faster than the IPstream product on offer from BT and will make it possible to
supply video services over broadband.
Easynet is able to make the move because it has unbundled connections to 250 local exchanges, which cover about half Britains businesses and 4.5m residential customers. Until recently, it was the only telecoms carrier to have pushed ahead with the unbundling process that was intended to provide BT with tougher competition.
David Rowe, Easynets chief executive, said: We will give BT Wholesale a really good run for their money.
Ian Livingston, BT finance director, has been named as Pierre Danons replacement as head of BT Retail. Hanif Lalani, chief financial officer of BT Wholesale, will take over from Livingston.

thx for posting and buying...i think 5 million traded was a serious endorsment of what i have been banging on about (admittedly i started from when these were above a 100p)
this stock is fundamentally VERY strong and has manageemnt that has continuously delivered. the funny thisng is that this news today came from left field and was nothing to do with the reasons why i hold this name but could challenge and enhance the core business in a huge way without one hint of cannabalising any other part of the business. fanbloodytastic!
i think there is a high chance this will be bid for by a european/US operator but even if not will be a profitable company by next year.
these could easily break 100p in the next few sessions and now that the huge sellers are out the way (house broker info) there should be nothing to hold them back. should be an interest run into the end of the year.
my 2005 target is 225p
thx for joining the thread, thx for reading and i look forward to all other views, opinions and alternate post sites (thx MS)

Proptrade,
As you know I'm another long suffering believer that ESY was hugely undervalued and filled up again at the mid 60s back in early November. Now I hold way too many but then on days like today I feel somewhat good about life. Another strong blue day tomorrow as the RNS kicks in and the implications have the inevitable oxygen of publicity. I think that this news could be just be the ticket to bring some volume back to ESY which was in any case massively undervalued....and I also believe the sector is finally due for a rise - also hold THUS and think they're ready to bounce if they get over 15p.
KTF!
