RTD - Why? (RTD)

Nitefly - 15 Sep 2003 10:55

Why are we again at 10.5p bid?

It doesn't add up...

Good Results + Strong buying pre results + Christmas online buying soon = Price drop

Then again some companies that have debt for equity hanging in the balance, poor results and bankruptcy around the corner and they go up!

Why sell now at a loss?

Wont that be a kick in the teeth when we see 13.5p 14p again!

Best of luck all.

guysands - 11 Sep 2004 14:42 - 1482 of 2406

Does anyone have a copy of the Edmund Jackson comment of the Cybersource litigation against RTD? I think it came out shortly after August 13th - but I do not seem to be able to find it on the internet.

Thanks in advance.

Fundamentalist - 11 Sep 2004 15:24 - 1483 of 2406

guysands - are you gsands from ADVFN?

overgrowth - 11 Sep 2004 15:47 - 1484 of 2406

He is one and the same - gsands who amazingly stated that he had opened a short on RTD, and is now looking for all the negative material he can find to wear down investors on advfn into selling.

If you want to buy gsands a new car folks then sell your shares. If you think that the results were good and that RTD still has lots of potential (which I do), then now could well be the best time to buy.

The next time RTD get above 20p, it looks as though the teens are unlikely to be re-visited.

Fundamentalist - 11 Sep 2004 16:22 - 1485 of 2406

If overgrowth is right and it is one and the same GSands - p*** off - you're not welcome here.

I lurk on ADVFN and have seen what diatribe you post with amazing transparency. When you are long RTD you ramp all day, suddenly you have opened a spreadbetting account and are short and you are posting completely contradictory posts trying to de-ramp. Last week you posted that you were looking to short, then you said if the results were good you would go long, then you decided to short again. I can smell those fingers burning and it is a most enjoyable smell!!!!

Go back to ADVFN

For all the regular moneyam posters this person can seriously damage your wealth - he has called RTD wrong several times in the past. He then asks other people for info (hence why he's here) to try and back up his trading opinion (often appearing to try and convince himself). If you want to clarify this go to the thread on RTD on ADVFN and post a request as to opinions on GSands!!!!! Trust posters like Fistfullofdollars, Amarcou, Badabing, Hatto who will confirm what I have stated as I guess will overgrowth.

I have to admit until now I have never used the squelch facility on moneyam -that is no longer true as Guysands you are now squelched (flitered in ADVFN speak)

Oops,

I thought this was a discussion thread.

I didn't realise it was a 'comfort' thread for RTD enthusiasts all wishing to bolster each others posistive views on RTD and reaffirm reasons for being invested in this company.

Interesting. I thought that there was an element of shorting on this share for a while. I also question whether EOP is having the same problems. But the spread would seem to make it difficult for me. Interested in opinions.

Fundamentalist - 11 Sep 2004 18:15 - 1488 of 2406

Fred

Without doubt there is shorting on this share (and all shares to some degree).

Personal opinion is a risk reward question. IMO the downside is very limited unless the litigation is successful (which in my opinion is highly unlikely) whereas the upside is a lot higher.

Fundamentally, the valuation is very undemanding, the Aussie fuel card business is worth about 16p per share on its own (and is still growing although at a single digit % rate). The CNP business is currently producing little contribution to overall profit but is signing up customers at an exceptional rate. These new customers business will start to flow through to revenue and most of this will go straight to the bottom line. There is still room for a huge amount of growth in this area at very high margins.

I would expect that the price is likely to drift a little bit until the next update on the litigation though would expect it to rise back up to at least 20p if and when the patent infringement is dropped. After that, I would expect that any future growth in share prices will be linked to the success of the growth in the CNP area. The only danger is how long the patent infringement will remain unresolved.

Personally, I wouldnt want to be short the day the patent infringement is dropped - could be some burning fingers.

All IMHO and DYOR - im still holding for the longer term growth.

Fred1new - 14 Sep 2004 22:03 - 1498 of 2406

From my memory of The Walt disney film 60 years ago he developed a long nose and big ears and Jimmy Cricket wasn't happy. But it is just a fading memory!

Douggie - 14 Sep 2004 23:37 - 1499 of 2406

I thought the long nose was the result of telling lies,(I don't remember him being smoked) Big ears was Noddys friend, and being not happy was a trade mark of the Irish comic....'and there's more' ............ but I'm too tired now!

enjoy tomorrow

Fred1new - 14 Sep 2004 23:41 - 1500 of 2406

As I said fading memories. Perhaps I was smoking.

Douggie - 15 Sep 2004 08:27 - 1501 of 2406

morning keep up the banter anyway.
