FTSE + FTSE 250 - consider trading (FTSE)

cynic - 20 Oct 2007 12:12

rather than pick out individual stocks to trade, it can often be worthwhile to trade the indices themselves, especially in times of high volatility.

for those so inclined, i attach below charts for FTSE and FTSE 250, though one might equally be tempted to trade Dow or S&P, which is significantly broader in its coverage, or even NASDAQ

for ease of reading, i have attached 1 year and 3 month charts in each instance

Always sods law, you have a good run on the markets and cash out... Then you end up having to take a few losses and transfer some money back in...

This time though I'm not transferring back in, I'll run bets under £1 and go for glory or broke...

skinny - 18 Mar 2014 16:10 - 14851 of 21973

Bad luck Shortie - its not personal :-)

Shortie, on a steady up day you often see a dip into the close as everybody closes their longs.

hilary - 18 Mar 2014 18:11 - 14854 of 21973

What was that you were saying about not today, Skinners?
