If you're having any problems, or want to suggest some improvements, please post below!
Level2 changes
In the last few weeks we've needed to implement some code changes to make us compliant with the LSE's rules on the access of Level2 data.
The following requirement is now in place:
You can only use 1 program on 1 computer to access Level2 on MoneyAM using a single username.
This means that you are able to view as many Level2 windows using any one particular browser, or program, that you wish, however you will not be able to use both Firefox and Internet Explorer at the same time (the same goes for using Quote Tracker or TradeSeeker at the same time as viewing it using a web browser)
If you find you're being logged off of MoneyAM's Level2 with the message 'you've logged on from another location' then check the above and make sure you're not running any other programs at the same time before reporting this as a bug.

thanks for reply - only reason I have not gone straight to it is I had terrible problems with the streaming java "over the road" . I use them as a backup to yourself. Could the download cause me problems over at advfn

maddoctor,
there is a potential that other sites may not work - but I could not comment as I am not privy to their behind the scenes workings as it were :) If it were to affect other streaming services from other sites, it can be removed uninstalling it and the system will revert to whatever plugin you were using before.
I am a little stumped as to what the cause is as all systems are working fine and as we discussed before remote diagnosis of what is causing this on your PC is not that easy for either of us :)
Jonathan is currently in a meeting, but I will get him to contact you as soon as he returns to the office to see whether he can shed any light on the matter.
Regards
Ian

Ian , thanks I will wait for Jonathan. It does seem to be the bar adverts which are causing some kind of problem for me - when they do not come up the page stalls.
having sat here now for two days trying to fix this , I am convinced it is the bar adverts causing the problem and the first 4 from left to right and why do they keep refreshing them selves??

J. cannot go anywhere else on site nor leave site but streaming continues.Have now discovered that if I refresh the stockwatch page the adverts return and everything is normal for a while but sometimes the refresh will not work on trades. I know nobody else is suffering and this only appeared yesterday , up until then for months I have had no problem. It is the adverts that is causing my problem , when they fail to load the page freezes and why are the first 4 continually refreshing themselves?

Is it me or is the repeated request to login problem back again?

Hi,
Apologies if these issues have been covered elsewhere.
When updating trade info (as I dont use streaming as Im fed up with all those extra messages about how to upgrade) it often takes an extremely long time to execute, reminds me of the days of dial-up connections.
Also I have to log on maybe 3 times a day on the existing page even though Ive not disconnected.
Yes Ive got Win2k with all the upgrades, IE6 latest version 512Mb RAM and a 2.6MHz chip and 512k broadband.
Cheers 2rara

Glad to see it's not just me. Terminal especially is very slow and required several logons (all panes). The Stockwatch slowing and stopping also happens. I automatically tried another PC and it happened there as well. I did multiple traceroutes and everything is ok (apart from occasional slow Nildram router). Seems like slow data response rather than slow network.
The advert loading really has a major negative impact on performance. Are all advert images heavily optimised to reduce size and detail and come from the fastest server link?
