Welllll..... so lucky tonite, soooooo lucky...twice. First 'white van man' flashes me (in his carrrrr..) I drop from 120 to 30 mph in like 3 secs and get my seat belt on and yes, there from the hedge comes the little man, so I smile sweetly into his camera for him as I woft pass, yes woft like that, woft.. so BIG thanks to little whitey vanny manny!

Then do the M25 in horrendous traffic, finally manage to do some speed then I decide to come off early as more congestion signs, so swerve across to exit but as i go into slow lane, traffic has built up and suddenly there was nowhere to go....fortunately tiny bit of hard shoulder so I had to squeeze round this guy and pulled up next to him. Although I smiled and waved I was s...... myself, little heart pounding. He didnt wave back and lets face it, I could have been on top of his car.....Anyway someone looking out for me today, better leave in a minute for Clitheroe so I can drive slow!!!!!!!!

Need that cuddle now, ummmmmmmm back in my comfort zone

amberjane - 29 Sep 2004 20:58 - 14949 of 23498

Oh a large bacardi and coke as I wont be drinking much at the conference...:>)

optomistic - 29 Sep 2004 21:12 - 14951 of 23498

Cuddle first you need one after that journey. Extra large B & C if you're not to drink a lot for a whole day!! Drive carfully through Lancashire the traffic police are not known to be friendly. Miseries :-((

amberjane - 29 Sep 2004 21:14 - 14952 of 23498

Is that where you hail from then? and I always drive my car fully! he he

optomistic - 29 Sep 2004 21:21 - 14953 of 23498

I am from Yorkshire Amber but have spent a lot of time driving into 'the other side' Take care the cameras are not always 'fairly sited' I now of several that are painted black and nicely hidden behind overgrown trees, I think they must have an arrangment with the owners not to prune them!!

amberjane - 29 Sep 2004 21:28 - 14954 of 23498

Ok, thanks...now who can give me a lift? (safest and cheapest option me thinks)

I was going to ask how your day went but you were in the cupboard all day so I guess it was well..dark.. and unless Poochy was still in there...uneventful!

optomistic - 29 Sep 2004 21:31 - 14955 of 23498

Don't know where Poochy is, that 'book' he reads must be very big and interesting. Even the Bods is becoming overstocked!!

amberjane - 29 Sep 2004 21:32 - 14956 of 23498

I think we do know really where Poochy is but ssshhhh he's shy. Another pint only I really need a refil.

amberjane - 29 Sep 2004 21:33 - 14957 of 23498

while you're getting that I really need to zoom round the house before someone gets in so it looks like I've been slaving away all day, just be 5 mins....

optomistic - 29 Sep 2004 21:38 - 14958 of 23498

One more pint of Bacardi & Coke when you are ready Amber. Should sleep well tonight :-) Two pints of that I think I would have trouble waking up.
I'll have my Guiness. Anyone else like a drink while I'm behind the bar?

optomistic - 29 Sep 2004 21:51 - 14959 of 23498

These Belgium chocolates look nice, such a large box, still it has to be opened sometime, I do like these they seem to go very well with Guiness.

amberjane - 29 Sep 2004 21:52 - 14960 of 23498

Yes me! Pint goes down so quick with all that Coke in, yes couldnt drink a pint neat. I've zoomed! do you think that was quick? Hoovered, washed up and hid ironing! See all tidy

amberjane - 29 Sep 2004 21:54 - 14961 of 23498

Belg chocs not so good with B&C, will have one later with coffee IF theres any left, (as she locks the door so noone else can get in)

optomistic - 29 Sep 2004 21:57 - 14962 of 23498

Yep that was quick Amber, when are you doing the ironing, first thing in the morning :-) Have some chocolates Amber no one else seems bothered tonight perhaps someone will call in after closing time out there.

optomistic - 29 Sep 2004 21:58 - 14963 of 23498

Just the two of us alone ooooh.

amberjane - 29 Sep 2004 22:00 - 14964 of 23498

Said I'd be back for more cuddles later see. Ironing, no never not if I can help it and not tomorrow, lots of sleep as you rightly said I've only had 5 hours last nite, and have a busy couple of days, Clitheroe, so need to pack in the morning, please dont keep me up to late

optomistic - 29 Sep 2004 22:06 - 14965 of 23498

Won't do that Amber, will make sure you are in bed nice and early.

jeffmack - 29 Sep 2004 22:08 - 14966 of 23498

i'm pissed

amberjane - 29 Sep 2004 22:09 - 14967 of 23498

Blimey not now, that is too early......as long as it's before 1.00am, that'll be OK.
