I bought shares in this company at 4.5p in September 2003. I see they are rising. Can anyone tell me please the growth potential for this company as they have just been awarded several new contracts ?

Just as a general question, when is something suitable for RNS and when is it not?

momentum,
You're bearishness on this stock is now well established, even though you are a "large investor".
I'm confused.
Buy, Sell or hold???

short term Hold. First time ive really invested fairly heavily into a micro cap stock, and find the inactivety quite frustrating. Did really appreciate how little these companies are followed.

Press release
18 May 2004 - CMS WebView plc (CMS) is very pleased to announce the appointment of Kurt Klein to the newly-created senior executive position of Director, North American Operations in CMS's new USA office in Chicago.
Kurt Klein, 51, joins CMS from market data consulting firm Market Data Integrators LLC, which he founded in 2003. With over 19 years' experience at
executive management level in the financial technology industries, Kurt's previous roles have included Senior Vice President at Hyperfeed Technologies and both Vice President Product Management & Business Development and Vice President Sales & Marketing at FutureSource Inc.
In his new position at CMS, Kurt will take overall responsibility for sales and marketing activity in the USA, reporting directly to Bob Antell, Chief Executive of CMS. Specifically, this will include the ongoing management of existing customer relationships, including those with Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) and the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, and the identification of new business opportunities for TDI within the exchange and banking technology sectors in the USA.
TDI is a modular suite of software that is used to collect, process and redistribute large amounts of real-time financial data, which has been adopted by prestigious financial institutions such as the CBOT, the London Metal Exchange and the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
In December 2003, CMS raised 2.5 million in new funding to finance its international and UK expansion.
Kurt Klein, Director, North American Operations, said:
'The new position with CMS in Chicago provides me with a really enticing strategic challenge. I am delighted to be joining at such an exciting time for the company and believe that TDI's clear benefits will offer market data technicians at banks and exchanges an elegant service solution to their complex financial data management needs.'
Bob Antell, Chief Executive of CMS WebView, said:
'Having already secured the Chicago Board of Trade and Chicago Mercantile Exchange as key retained TDI clients in the US, we see the USA as ripe for further penetration. Our target sectors are international banks as well as exchanges, where the handling of vast tracts of financial data requires highly sophisticated software systems, such as TDI provides.
'The hiring of Kurt, with his tremendous contacts and experience, is something of a feather in our cap and we are delighted that he is joining us to help drive US growth.'

Cheers Andrew!
More good news. This is exactly what I've been looking for in the USA; a big hitter who can open doors.
The building blocks are all steadily falling into place, whilst the balance sheet is exceptionally sound and primed for growth.
Cracking the banking sector internationally would be huge for CMS. If this happens, current micro-cap status will most certainly become a thing of the past.

Does anybody have any further information regarding Mr. Klein? Did a quick web search and was unable to uncover anything. However, what I'm most curious about is why he is leaving a company that he only founded in 2003. Can anybody shed any further light?

momentum,
Whilst the share price may drift down, it may equally break this downtrend and begin to reflect its inherent value.
At 6pence, market cap would be 4.8million, with 3.3million cash in the bank. Not saying it can't happen, but there are cash shells out there with no businesses, trading at much higher premiums to their cash balances.
CMS has reported increased revenue streams from various product lines, not just TDI, and not just in the USA.
IMHO the "market" is really now missing a trick here with CMS. Downside is limited, trading as it is so close to CASH, while upside is huge.

Agree with your view long term. But as you are aware the market will and can leave quality stock seemingly undervalued for years. And there is also the small issue that knowone is buying even at these levels. And if investors are not dealing apart from the odd sell, the mm s will move the price lower no matter how much cash they have in the bank. There will be a price that will get investors buying, BUT what is that price 8p-7p-6p ?????

Hi littlejon, I stated in January that I had sold out from these due to lack on news on the TDI front. In addition, other stocks were looking more attractive as market conditions changed with the IRAQ, Oil, US/China economies situation. I am waiting for the first contract to come through then I will buy back in.
This stock does need news and pretty fast, that is what has caused the price to drift down.
When I tipped these in November, the market was so different and better to what it is now.

Thanks suehelen for the reply, I am still holding and unfortunately did not sell any of my holdings when I was in a small profit, however as time goes by Im not so apprehensive about the slow decline in value, and but them to the back of my mind knowing that fundamentals to this company seem great????
As a company do you feel that if TDIs come off this year that this stock could reach the sort of potential estimated by investors during the run up to xmas.
Thanks for your reply & hope to here from you soon
Good luck all holders

littlejon,
Go to the companys' website www.cms.co.uk, if you haven't done so already. Read the investor news section to get a feel for what this company has been doing for the last year.
The hype in the share price that was created in November has gradually been unwound. The market tends to do too much on the upside, but equally over punishes on the downside. Picking up good companies against the crowd can ultimately be a better wealth builder.
This stock is now pregnant with potential, and IMHO ready to move higher on new contracts. I am very confident these will come. Everything up to January 04 was product development for this company. Everything from here on is sales growth/marketing.
At the current market cap of ~6mio, and a TDI contract & support package worth 750k-1mio, the upside with increased sales will be huge. This takes no account of CMS other revenues streams.

Mid brought down to 6.75p, offer at 7p. intra day. Look for further weakness this week. The downtrend has truly set in, rate of decline increasing. Good news required soon to stop the rot. Investors are waiting for news on TDI and if cms do not deliver.SP imho will move back to 4p. Long term very tempting to buy more, however i beleive they will get a lot cheaper. Boy am i glad i wasnt involved in the placing. Company brokers put out a buy recomendation at 14p with a price target of 18p, price is now 7p and falling.???????? not good.

Looking at possible support levels, today we had an intra day low of 6.25p.This was the top of the spike up on 28/10/03 from 3.25-6.25p when cms announced 12 new prophet contracts.SP over the next week continued down to find minor support at 4.25p, before the rally initiated by the SM comment. A close below 6.25p will setup a test of 4.25p.However 4.25p would probably not have held back in OCT if not for the SM article. Strong support imho is at 3.25p which held for a longer period prior to the 28/10 spike.Sorry for the bearishness but its not lookig good short term even though it is due a technical bounce ( oversold).SP has now not had a blue day for 21 days.

Thats 21 trading days, now if thats not telling you something. 32.5% below placing price. Management need to put a halt under this slide, investors have long memories espescially when it loses them money.

IMHO I wouldn't worry too much about the price drop, it just gives better buying opportunities. At the end of the day the same opportunities are still there and there's still money in the bank. Long term investment at the minute.
