Pace Micro looking forward (PIC)

little woman - 08 May 2003 23:40

Origonally purchased in '99 at just over 1 and sold out at just over 10 a year later. Bought back in on the way down about 7 and watched the price go down and down!

Watched the price drop to 9p and now up to 40p. Finally some really good news:

Today: 8 May 2003, it is announced that: Pace wins new business with Australian operator FOXTEL

Pace Micro Technology plc has today announced a new digital set-top box
agreement to supply FOXTEL, Australia's leading subscription television
provider. FOXTEL will utilise Pace's latest digital set-top box platform to
launch its new digital cable service and extend its existing digital satellite
operation.

We may never go back to the prices of 3 years ago, but if the price continues up to 80p, buying in now could recover the loses. But will the share price make 80p?

The last one clearly doesnt efect the trading/price but a look at the trades indicates very few done on sets and therefore not price moving in themselves. i often use off sets trades.

Only trades on sets moves the price by virtue of the orders disapearing .... off sets trades are done through brokers at the touch price or better (which comes from sets)

little woman - 09 May 2003 17:43 - 20 of 23

So when we take a look at the trades, whidh are the set trades?

ainsoph - 09 May 2003 17:50 - 21 of 23

they are marked up - yellow on ME or AT instead of O

little woman - 09 May 2003 17:57 - 22 of 23

ains, I know its nothing to do with pace, but...........if you take a look at the trades on CS. the AT buys are way higher than the sells, yet the price has hardly moved. Is there something I am missing?

ainsoph - 09 May 2003 18:05 - 23 of 23

Corus is a highly traded share and moves fast ..... the trade analyser is almost certainly wrong but you will note the sets trades are again not in the majority. Its more an art form than science but you have to look at a number of factors including the timing of the trades and flow of orders. Corus and Pace are not really comparable
