Inter Alliance worth buying? (IAL)

javidshaik - 26 Sep 2003 13:50

IAL has been tipped by two people on different BB's and I was just wondering what peoples views are on here.

ajren - 11 Dec 2003 12:11 - 15 of 54

Any info since ? rgds aj

dandu71 - 11 Dec 2003 18:12 - 16 of 54

Down again to 2-2.5p. I can`t find any reason why this would be so, sells are outweighing buys so there`s gonna be lots of supply of these which would help push the price down. I just hope it comes good in 2004.

llewellyn - 11 Dec 2003 21:01 - 17 of 54

lets hope so dandu71??????????????????????????????????????

dandu71 - 12 Dec 2003 17:15 - 18 of 54

Hi Llewellyn, are you a shareholder yourself and if so what are your views on the current situation?

llewellyn - 14 Dec 2003 21:35 - 19 of 54

hi dandu71 yes i am, i brought into the stock at 3p after reading about inter-alliance in ic,and i believe that this company will make next quarter profits and also i read that royal bank of scotland, norich union have great interest in the company? i hope that has helped you. let me khow if you find out any more info

skyhigh - 15 Dec 2003 11:51 - 20 of 54

Hi LLewellyn, Your comments about RBOS & Norwich U. interest may be about the rumours going around that maybe, just maybe, there was going to be something announced before the end of the year that would greatly improve the current share price instantly.

I too, bought in at 3p a couple of months ago on the strength af a "Buy" rec, in Shares Mag during late summer and also my broker advice.
It's gotta come good some time, lets hope it's very soon !
Good luck all.... :)

bosley - 15 Dec 2003 11:57 - 21 of 54

skyhigh, any chance you could be clearer as to what rumours you have heard. i have this stock on watch and feel almost ready to jump in but would like some more info first

skyhigh - 15 Dec 2003 12:27 - 22 of 54

Hi Bosley,
Unfortunately, I cannot be specific about the rumours,if they are true or when it will happen. I was informed about the rumours from my broker a couple of weeks ago. He said they could go up to about 10p before Xmas ?. He may have just been saying that to cheer me up after a couple other shares went a bit pear shaped ! However, Inter A. are a good recovery play. should be break even by end Q1 2004 and big profits after that. Mainly due to cost cutting but also improving financial sector. Also, there was talk of aquisitions being made as well (this/nextqtr). On the other hand, they may be subject of bids from larger co..
I reckon a good punt at the current 2.25-2.75 levels, (the downside is virtually zero) good time to get in but it is speculative. It's your decision. good luck.

RoyMarklove - 15 Dec 2003 13:53 - 23 of 54

skyhigh
I agree, a good buy at these levels.2.3p to buy at the moment. I have increased my holding this morning.

dandu71 - 15 Dec 2003 19:05 - 24 of 54

thanks SH and RM, i`ve been digin but can`t find any more information on this matter. Thanks for your information, has brought a much needed smile to my face. D

bosley - 17 Dec 2003 17:30 - 25 of 54

who went in and got 20 million right at the death today? what have i missed?

dandu71 - 17 Dec 2003 18:09 - 26 of 54

I notices that one myself Bosley as it went through as an unknown trade, has someone picked them up or sold them for that price?????

bosley - 17 Dec 2003 18:36 - 27 of 54

no idea , dandu . has it got anything to do with the share options arrangement announced in november? or does someone know something we dont ...........dah , dah , dahhhhhhhhhh

dandu71 - 18 Dec 2003 21:59 - 28 of 54

I would think that this transaction would have something to do with a share options agreement and that the shares were arranged to be purchased at a later date with a pre-arranged fixed price, most probably by a director or manager of some description......

dandu71 - 24 Dec 2003 10:05 - 29 of 54

Offer price fell yesterday so tightening up the spread 2-2.25. Looks attractive as a specualtive punt, trading volumes are very low though..........

rasool - 04 Jan 2004 13:41 - 30 of 54

I think i will buy some on monday as specualtive punt? about 5000.....

dandu71 - 04 Jan 2004 17:29 - 31 of 54

buys far outweighed the sells on friday 2nd Jan, maybe someone is expecting good news or soemthing, they did say they were due to be cash flow positive in the first half of 2004, are they about to release a trading statement??? As i have a big punt in this firm i`m watching it like a hawk, the number of buys on friday will certainly help make the stock more attractive and go some way towards raising the price.

bradleym - 05 Jan 2004 17:59 - 32 of 54

MACD chart showing positive outlook! Also, buys are still out weighing sells.

dandu71 - 06 Jan 2004 17:52 - 34 of 54

sells ouweights buys big style today with big batches being sold. bradley, what does the above chart mean, are you able to explain it to me, sorry if i sound a bit dull but i`m not familiar with this kind of chart. thanks daniel
