Ok anyone else been mad enough over the last few days to jump
back on the MTN train?? I bought in yesterday at 174p. Well all
the reasons why I bought the first time around are still potentially
good - could be brought out, taken private, merged etc.
Just have to wait and see - trading update next week.....But don't
expect miracles.

The market expects about 14 to 15p of earnings this year increasing to 17p next. So, fairly valued ignoring TO speculation.
Next time it gets over 220p I'm out though.

Agree with you brianboru - this is a real speculative one from
my point of view so I wont get 'creative' - although...if it's rising
strongly it could be tempting - last time I was supposed (according to me!)
to be out at 250p but held on for 261p!!
Nice to know there's someone else on this train too!!

We are moving up and currently over the 200p marker!
Great stuff but apart from the 'mutter from the gutter' element
that could be responsible for the rise - due to the MKS business,
anyone know of any other reason why it is currently back in fashion?
(Brianboru - you still holding these?)

Dave - I may not hold on until 260p this time - did last time I know -
but I took more shares on board this time so it would be possible to
jump ship faster if I felt it a good idea...but I'm still holding for now!

tick, tick.whats the chance the dow goes blue ?

Hopefully it will (Dow blue) and the gains from this morning will either remain
or increase this afternoon. At least now the spread on MTN is better,
at one stage it was 207.50 to sell and 210.00 to buy - which is slightly
taking the do-da!

Yes that's the problem isn't it - there's several decent targets currently
to invest/trade in....I'm contemplating 229p on MTN but there again if it stalls
at 220-odd I may be tempted, that still delivers over 40p per share profit.
Mind you I don't think we will get that lucky today...needs a bit longer..
But all we can do right now is wait on the US Opening...

Fears of higher interest rates and people having less disposable income
should assist the discount retailers - in theory, or so they say, meanwhile
like yourself I will track down the best value when it comes to shopping!

to right.at the end of the day, what do 5/6 year olds now about brand names.as long as it`s barbie/action man.
i am sure there is some irony in the above sentence,,,,sorry.
ps i asked the lady at the till about staff discount`s,,,she said ,she was new but ,,she thought there was a 10% staff discount,,,now that sort of benefit should be applied to share holders,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,just a thought.
