Please report bugs and enhancements (BUGS)

andy.lovell - 04 Nov 2002 11:26

If you're having any problems, or want to suggest some improvements, please post below!

Level2 changes
In the last few weeks we've needed to implement some code changes to make us compliant with the LSE's rules on the access of Level2 data.

The following requirement is now in place:
You can only use 1 program on 1 computer to access Level2 on MoneyAM using a single username.

This means that you are able to view as many Level2 windows using any one particular browser, or program, that you wish, however you will not be able to use both Firefox and Internet Explorer at the same time (the same goes for using Quote Tracker or TradeSeeker at the same time as viewing it using a web browser)

If you find you're being logged off of MoneyAM's Level2 with the message 'you've logged on from another location' then check the above and make sure you're not running any other programs at the same time before reporting this as a bug.

Martini,

Not got it happening here. The servers are set to allow 16384 simulaneous sessions to run at the same time, so it shouldnt be a problem...

What pages is it happening on?

J.

Glad to see it's not just me. Terminal especially is very slow and required several logons (all panes). The Stockwatch slowing and stopping also happens. I automatically tried another PC and it happened there as well. I did multiple traceroutes and everything is ok (apart from occasional slow Nildram router). Seems like slow data response rather than slow network.
The advert loading really has a major negative impact on performance. Are all advert images heavily optimised to reduce size and detail and come from the fastest server link?

TullettJ (MoneyAM) - 02 Dec 2003 20:26 - 1503 of 7315

BrianTrayda,

We have amended our advert serving code this evening, am I am awaiting user feedback tomorrow to see if things have improved.

Ditto from me. No problems all day. Bring back the BBC [ad free] I say. ;)

TullettJ (MoneyAM) - 03 Dec 2003 17:05 - 1511 of 7315

Im glad everything was working for you today. The code that broke things will not be put back in place!

Ive just put in another server, so the site should be more even responsive. The other database server that was installed is working like a charm, and my systems monitoring stuff has not seen anything wrong for the last few days (apart from the errors you experienced)

Long may it continue!

Do we have any further update on when/Whether we will be able to see the time an order was placed on the L2 screen?
Look forward to an update.
Thanks,
TT
