Thought you said you read these boards, Dave.
When there is something to discuss, you will find that i, and all the others you so wisely listed have good and valid contributions to make. You may not agree with our views, but they are valid and they are about our serious investments in SEO.
perhaps we have been a little more successful over the years with our investment savvy and this allows us a lighter attitude towards life.
Come back when there is something to discuss and you will find very different posts.

Dave, I've seen plenty of intelligent, well-balanced, incisive and informative posts in the past from Alan and most of the others you mention.

I do not, however, remember seeing one from you.

All I've seen from you are offensive posts. I know who I'd prefer to stop posting.

bosley - 23 Feb 2006 22:11 - 15009 of 27111

it is really sad....... and to think i used to have some respect for this guy ......

Dave699 AKA "Mr Angry"!

Those who have indulged in a bit of light-hearted banter are the same who also contribute and add value to this bb when there is something to discuss. I've certainly not seen you on here so I guess you're simply an observer who's cracking as a consequence of the long wait for the expected results.

Take a look at the FYB thread and you'll see a break of several days without a post!

oblomov - 23 Feb 2006 22:35 - 15011 of 27111

Quite true, garyble, I've been talking to myself on FYB of late, its gone so dead. And even I dont always answer!

If no one has any thing to say about SEO at the moment (Im still holding) you can pay me and Postman Pat and our new recruit moneyplus a visit on ERT.

hewittalan6 - 23 Feb 2006 23:11 - 15013 of 27111

Okey, Dokey.
For those who wish serious debate (though now I'll get slated for either my point of view or speculating!!);
We think results will be on tuesday of next week. If that is the case, heres my prediction for now till then, and the strategy I MAY use.
I expect Friday and monday to see a steady increase in SP as the gamblers climb aboard. Results day comes in 3 scenarios.
1) The results are very poor (as most of us expect) with no firm news on Greenseal or other developments and the SP starts to fall. this will cause the breakout downwards as Eric has pointed out, and momentum will exaggerate the effect.
2) The results are poor but there is fairly good stuff on Greenseal etc. The SP will still fall, but not as dramatically, probably back to current levels or a touch lower as the gamblers get back out and look for pickings elsewhere.
3) The results contain a bit of dynamite and the SP shoots north as all the doubters climb back in.
My thought is basically scenario 2, but to guard against 1, I will set my stop loss at about Mondays close -5%. Should scenario 1 happen, I will be out and still in handsome profit. Should 2 happen and the SP does drop by 5% then I think momentum will take it lower and I can buy back in later in the day, therefore increasing my holding for zero cost. Should 3 happen, who gives a damn? We'll all be happy.
I'm off to bed now, but please everyone, post your own thoughts / strategy or simply tell me I'm financially illiterate. I don't care anymore.
Sweet dreams.
Alan

Just recovering from a massive migraine; must still be affected by it 'cos I can't see any posts by Mr Angry Dave;did they just disappear? Does he not have a sense of humour? If not I probably won't need to see them! I will just say this to him, 99% of the posts on this thread are a pleasure to read and at times there will be nothing salient to say, so why not have a joke or two.....does no harm, laughter is the best medicine etc.

Alan, I think it might be a mix of 2) & 3) taking into account that, yes the results will probably be rubbish, but SEO and it's subsiduaries have so many irons in the fire and a new research department being set up, surely something good is going to come from it?!

Go to the SEO web site and see the RNS Walmart/ Stanelco. Not yet released on the other system. Totally unknown has to take credit for this on a competitors site.
Now watch it go.

Quite a few sells, I wonder how many have put sell stop loss orders in not expecting any news till Tuesday, and have not had chance to cancel the Stop Loss. I for one was not expecting any news prior to Tuesday. I think it has caught most of us by suprise
