Suggest squelching is in order again cynic and beemer...

David10B - 30 Jun 2007 10:14 - 1502 of 2037

Truth hurt Mr Hurford

AdieH - 30 Jun 2007 10:44 - 1503 of 2037

Rising price, possible take over target, 200% profit if thats truth then bring it on... bye your now squelched...

David10B - 30 Jun 2007 10:50 - 1504 of 2037

Actually Adieh its a falling price from 50p. I see no evidence of a takeover just a week rumour.

Please squelch me as you offer no reasoned resistance for your views.

beemer2 - 30 Jun 2007 12:46 - 1505 of 2037

The SP was on the way up long before the takeover press rumour and was due to the high volume of buying and with news from the company imminent then the recovery will continue IMHO.

Padgham - 30 Jun 2007 23:45 - 1506 of 2037

very much agreed beemer

MERVILLE - 01 Jul 2007 20:52 - 1507 of 2037

Found this in one of the local papers (Czech Business Weekly) pushed through the letterbox.

American coffee chain Starbucks will enter the Czech market next year. Last week the worlds largest coffee shop operator Starbucks Coffee International signed a preliminary agreement with the Polish branch of restaurant operator AmRest Holdings that allows it to open coffee shops in Poland, the Czech Republic and Hungary. Negotiations between Starbucks and AmRest should be completed by mid-year, said Mateusz Sielecki, AmRests spokesman.

The first Starbucks cafshould be open within 10 months of signing the final agreement, he said.

AmRest, registered in the Netherlands but based in Wroclaw, Poland, manages more than 200 restaurants in Poland, the Czech Republic and Hungary. AmRest holds local franchises for brands KFC and Pizza Hut (owned by U.S.-based fast food restaurants giant Yum! Brands).

Also last month fast food operator Burger King Corp. awarded AmRest the rights to open the first Burger King restaurant in Poland, planned for mid-2007. Listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange (WSE), Amrest also operates its own brands such as FreshPoint and Rodeo Drive.

This would tend to put Starbucks out of any takeover deal, could be a private equity company though.

As for the price rise, any views on it being one of the institutions increasing their holding.

David10B - 02 Jul 2007 08:56 - 1508 of 2037

Nope juts rose on hype. as for the comments above. Do you seriously thing press rumours hit the papers the day they werre hatched?

COH is a MMs money maker stock.

AdieH - 02 Jul 2007 09:00 - 1509 of 2037

Take a look at Ample web site, boardam has posted a link regarding Snack Attack joint venture with COH in Rommania... More good news. Regards (iii.co.uk).

trigger45 - 02 Jul 2007 09:01 - 1510 of 2037

Or you could take the other view that it is rising on investor sentiment.

Still looking good. Doesn't seem like hype at the moment, but let's wait and see.

David10B - 02 Jul 2007 09:07 - 1511 of 2037

Ok fair point, but what is investor sentiment moved by?---news and figures!

David10B - 02 Jul 2007 09:42 - 1512 of 2037

This is what I think and honestly believe.

I think that COH will eventually buckle under the increased competition.

It cant expand into top sites as there are not any worthwhile ones left with a high pedestrian through put.. And Worhtington has stated that he is not in the real estate business to go out chasing for prime locations.

Big Mistake.

Worthington has already displayed his propensity to cash in when the going gets tough as with Don Millars.

BIG Mistake.

Mr Worthington has already displayed a contempt for his shareholders as with BKE.

BIG MISTAKE.

I will ask all shareholders and ask fro an honest answer----- do they have any confidence in a FD that allows a Board of director to continue to draw wages from diminishings shareholders funds while not producing the goods, as is currently happening under Mr Worthingon......honest answer sonly please.

These are all big mistakes that do not add up to the image of a swtiched on, with CEO acting in the best interests of his shareholders---well not to me they do not.

Have a great week.

cynic - 02 Jul 2007 09:45 - 1513 of 2037

10B ..... as my mother-in-law says, "Take a stumm powder!" ...... by the way, this sort of tiddler is more often moved by rumour than real news.

David10B - 02 Jul 2007 09:56 - 1514 of 2037

Dont know what they are---do they work?

All penny punters thrive on rumours and sell on news, hense the cliche

Have a bash at answering the above question.

cynic - 02 Jul 2007 10:21 - 1515 of 2037

stumm = quiet ..... i.e. for goodness sake just shut up for a while ..... in your case, stumm powder + immodium may be needed to cure your verbal dysentry

David10B - 02 Jul 2007 10:35 - 1516 of 2037

But my dear cynic there are so many questions to be answered---are we not hear to enlighten over the repetitive rampers?

Look at this thread it was dominated by AieH and his ramping before I came here--and he was happy to keep on doing so.

And please note how nasty the rampers become when challenged and slink away.

We have here the opportunity to lift the quality of these BB and bring about an indepth honest debate.

I may have verbal dysentry but I also have a decent supply of soft smooth scented toilet tissue.

David10B - 02 Jul 2007 10:38 - 1517 of 2037

PS I will keep harping on while the situation is allowed to exist under Worthigton over at BKE where directors are getting paid for nothing at the hareholders expense---that is obscene, as all directors have a duty to thier shareholders firsy.

beemer2 - 02 Jul 2007 10:42 - 1518 of 2037

Tenby lost a fortune on BKE....LOLOLOLOL

ptholden - 02 Jul 2007 10:53 - 1519 of 2037

Thrush

So, you are the saviour of this thread by your continual 'bashing' of COH - LoL.

Actually, what is very apparent is that it is not COH on which you are bearish but Worthington and any company he is associated with.

I'm afraid you will never be able to 'lift the quality' of any BB, purely because you know (by your own admission) nothing about the finanical markets. The reason no-one is answering your questions is because any argument you have put forth has already been torn to shreds by those with just a modicum of knowledge.

As Cynic has already said, you're a broken record with nothing new to add or worthwhile to say, give it a rest and come back when COH's SP is going down rather than up, at least then you can say 'I told you so'.

pth

cynic - 02 Jul 2007 10:56 - 1520 of 2037
