Ok no figures yet ( no doubt possibly some indication in the results ) but they must be the Asda figures x by, well how high is skyward.

bosley - 24 Feb 2006 08:53 - 15036 of 27111

not wishing to piss on anyone's chips, but , no deal has been announced. the announcement only says that seo are part of a larger group of businesses that walmart are speaking with to improve their environmental record. saying that, it is fantastic news that walmart are in advanced discussions with seo.

Bugz - 24 Feb 2006 08:53 - 15037 of 27111

If Walmart do announce, the we'll see the sp get a real boost from investors on the otherside of the water as for manyof them, SEO wont be on their radar yet. Unlikely though its true.

BLINGER, MATEY..........WHY THE LONG FACE?
Who's the cretin now?
ROTFLMAO (in spades) .......:>))

bhunt1910 - 24 Feb 2006 08:59 - 15039 of 27111

Quite by chance - i topped up yesterday and took out a cfd - as I was feeling fairly confident over longer term - and I go on holiday tomorrow for 2 weeks - and the sp always goes up when I go away - and the results are due out next Tuesday.

I felt confident that all of the bad news was already in the price.

I think the response so far thhis morning has been muted - as again - no figures, no contracts and WM are notoriously hard nosed over their negotiations.

Not sure that I expect any more progress today - migt even pull back a tad - as always - but I will expect a steady rise over next couple of weeks - and maybe - just maybe an SP of between 18 and 20 by the time I get back.

baza - being catiously optimistic

Tis a fair point, Bos, but the RNS does say that WM are seeking to fast-track SEO products. Not a deal, maybe, but it sure as hell stinks of commitment.

Hey, aren't we forgetting something????????? If Walmart is now stepping onboard then obviously the ASDA trials have gone very well ,which is very reassurung to know

bhunt1910 - 24 Feb 2006 09:01 - 15042 of 27111

Good point Robinhood - I hadn't thought of that

predateur - 24 Feb 2006 09:15 - 15043 of 27111

With the Walmart news today and projecting the capital requirement I think SEO will need to raise cash to fund the expansion.

We have a large number of SEO shareholders posting on this board and more I would imagine if the other side is involved with us.

With us on what you may ask.

Raising cash by share issue will also raise the thorny question of dilution.

How about if we approach the board and request involvement in their next fund raising.

If they agree, the way I see it is that we could have a board of say 3 members who are responsible for collating the posters requirements and having a collective application. The shares then reallocated in the proportion of each posters application.

We may be able to negotiate a discounted price.

Upset the big boys.

Would we need FSA approval ?

Crazy idea ?

Those with more knowledge advise.

hewittalan6 - 24 Feb 2006 09:21 - 15044 of 27111

Nice idea, Predateur, but we would certainly need FSA approval, if we were to all give our cash to one person, as they would need to be registered to hold client money. If we created an escrow account then the organisation named as account holders would need it. If one person bought and then redistributed, they would become a broker and need authority.
The only way to do it is as an investment club, and even that may need approval nowadays. Credit unions certainly do. I also think the FSA would not consider a club for the purposes of one share an investment club.
An easeier alternative may be to lobby the board for an offer that will allow PI's to get in at the same price as the broking houses.

Predateur

Another possibility is funding by Wal-Mart, they are committed to improving just about everything nowadays and if they feel that SEO have the best solution to better packaging who knows what they may come up with.

hewittalan6 - 24 Feb 2006 09:30 - 15046 of 27111

Or may have already come up with.
Long shot, but who remembers the discussion a few days ago about the WM RNS and the enigmatic bit about the contract in the supply chain that was irrecoverable if the contract was cancelled?

aldwickk - 24 Feb 2006 09:33 - 15047 of 27111

Why no big jump in share price on this news ?

kimoldfield - 24 Feb 2006 09:33 - 15048 of 27111

Yes it was buried deep in the report, very obscure, but it did make me think.....the figure was $163m I think, NOT ENOUGH!!

kim

greekman - 24 Feb 2006 09:35 - 15049 of 27111

Still think punters are awaiting the results, in case of any nasty suprises ( can't see there being any myself ) then no doubt it will take off.

kimoldfield - 24 Feb 2006 09:53 - 15050 of 27111

greekman
Yes, early trading showed the faint hearted getting out quick, probably based on the "why give this good news now, results must be worse than expected" theory. My heart is solid!! No matter what the past results were, the future is the only important thing now and with everything that is going on around SEO it has to be goooood?!

kim

greekman - 24 Feb 2006 09:56 - 15051 of 27111

kimoldfield,

Yes, I agree. The RNS being price sensitive had to be released, but yes many will think why now.

robinhood - 24 Feb 2006 09:59 - 15052 of 27111

oh bling oh bling..............april brent crude up $0.70 p/bbl..........seo up 1 point....tgif

aldwickk - 24 Feb 2006 10:04 - 15053 of 27111

Seems a few people were slow to pick up on the news, over on the AOL bb there is no mention of the news and i know there are many who hold them. I got back in @ 16.43.

aldwickk - 24 Feb 2006 10:06 - 15054 of 27111
