dexter

FILTHY POOR - 17 Feb 2005 14:47 - 1511 of 27111

dexter
I stand corrected, "firma", the really hard stuff.

dexter01 - 17 Feb 2005 14:53 - 1512 of 27111

FP,
seriously though, what is your take on SEO and their product?
tia,
Dexter

FILTHY POOR - 17 Feb 2005 15:23 - 1513 of 27111

dexter
SEO have an excellent product and, I believe, a very rosy future.
However, in the short term, I have some concerns about their cash position
and the impending damages awarded to BPRG.
The "placing" cash, I suspect, will be completly eaten-up by this.
Have the placing shares been admitted yet? Where they admitted on the 15th?
If so, Peel Hunt could have already sold some, and made a tidy profit.

deancroft - 17 Feb 2005 15:28 - 1514 of 27111

Regarding previous posts concerning RF leakage, serious problems etc, be content that at least one small investor here is an Engineering Tech, Engineering Council registered and a Member of the Institute of Incorporated Engineers. Howard White, Deputy CEO of Stanelco has confirmed to me that their technology is solid state and these declarations of "leakage problems" are utter nonsense. RF is not new, the application is. Don't be influenced by what you don't know, do what I did and talk to Stanelco or someone who does know then make up your own mind.

FILTHY POOR - 17 Feb 2005 15:35 - 1515 of 27111

deancroft
Didn't say it wasn't a problem they havn't dealt with.
But don't dismiss it as never having been a problem.
RF is not new, but neither is interference, which is why the
European community has decided to legislate it.
Also,an Engineer!!

The 2 sells of 325,000 shares do in fact look like buys - but notified late.

hutchins - 17 Feb 2005 16:26 - 1517 of 27111

yes, look at the time.

ethel - 17 Feb 2005 16:46 - 1518 of 27111

Two engineers...goody goody.Maybe deancroft and Filthy Poor can help us out on Canadian Coal where I am discussing the merits of PRV and where you can help us to understand the technologies that firm is involved with?????Sorry to interrupt. After last weeks excitement with SEO and B### the gentle world of Porvair beckons the fearless investress.Ethel

hlyeo98 - 17 Feb 2005 18:30 - 1519 of 27111

Massive selling again today - 9.8 million sell vs 2.8 million buy - looks like bears on the rampage. I am sure Evil Knievel is shorting SEO.

bosley - 17 Feb 2005 19:09 - 1520 of 27111

evening all. just wondering why all this talk and rumour mongering about seo's technology not working hasnt been mentioned until this week? funny how its the same week as people are saying mr knevil is shorting seo. 2 plus 2 equals four. come on , it aint that hard to figure out. deputy ceo of seo totally refutes the rumours as utter nonsense. thats enough for me.

EWRobson - 17 Feb 2005 19:24 - 1521 of 27111

deancroft: thanks for excellent post.

Filthy Poor: 'Didn't say it was a problem they haven't dealt with. But don't dismiss it as never being a problem'. Then why raise it in the first place?

Re: patents. SEO had excellent cover for their R/F technology applied to optical fibres which kept them in good stead for many years (30?). 'Stanelco has filed applications for a new family of patents in respect of a new packaging system that could revolutionise the global cooked and raw meat packaging industry' (RNS 16/7/04). Even if patents are challenged or breached, then the market lead remains substantial and very valuable.

Re: support levels. What is the solid support level for NLR: 180p? Ask the investors who have received placed shares at 12.875p whether the financial case for that cap. for the company is 'weak'? As with NLR, the fundamentals change with progress made by an emerging company which engender historical price levels redundant.

I don't find your observations credible and they appear to be motivated by an attempt to drive the price down. Why otherwise bother to come onto this thread? Or do you feel a real mission in life to take the (R/F?) scales off the eyes of genuine investors?

SueBacon - 17 Feb 2005 19:49 - 1522 of 27111

new to the game. What are MM's?

Paulo2 - 17 Feb 2005 19:57 - 1523 of 27111

What are Eminem's what?

Only joking. The MMs are the market makers. Those folk we buy the shares off and then usually sell them back to at a huge loss.

LOL

stockdog - 17 Feb 2005 20:04 - 1524 of 27111

You mean they're not what I used to call treats - as in, "let me treat you to a nice cheap share, sucker!"

doughboy66 - 17 Feb 2005 20:15 - 1525 of 27111

I have got into seo late even though i have been tracking it for months and am now getting worried. The last 2 weeks especially this board has been filled with optimism and now its full of pessimism. Being a bit of a newcomer to this game i`m wondering if i have been sucked in by hype.?
To sell or not sell, that is the question?

Just got in went to see the Rat Pack better that all that rapping shao, you should go and see it, seo seems to be holding up fine I see, no problem for me.

stockdog - 17 Feb 2005 20:25 - 1527 of 27111

doughboy - do not be swayed by optimism and pessimism, attend to the fundamentals and buy on chart indications (sorry, I seem to have picked up Eric's hymn sheet by mistake). Much of the chat has been the essential stuff of self-reinforcing believe systems - I hold therefore I'm wise kind of stuff.

The only philosophy you need to remember is - this company has a fundamentally valuable new product/service on the verge of its first mass market, therefore I buy.

We'd all (OK I'd all) love to be as clever as Dynamite and have bought at 4p, but she's a wily (notice deliberate, ingratiating omission of traditional word "old") bird in it a bit longer than some of us and we can't be overnight. I'm happy I bought in first at 8p and extended my posisiton since then on the way down over the last few days. Still far from happy with my average buying price (and even more PO'd with what I sold to make cash available to top up with) , but equally convinced I won't lose over the near to medium term.

It's a winner, be happy. Go out and enjoy yourself. Come back next month/year to count your profits.
