THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Before you go , what Church do you belong to and what Bible do they teach from, do you have to give 10% of your gross income to the Church like some Churches do, called Tithes ?

I don't belong to any Church or a follower of any religion , but i do think there is evidence now that the Universe is mathematical designed based on the laws of science.

aldwickk - 23 Feb 2012 18:36 - 15137 of 81564

gibby

I don't know why you can't answer a simple question , there are many version's of the Bible that are used as you know . You keep on giving quotes from a Bible, I assume its a Bible , so am asking you which one it is.

If you read my last post you would know I don't go to Church.

gibby - 23 Feb 2012 18:42 - 15138 of 81564

ald you interest me as i think you want to learn but faith is not a possesion of all people but what you lack it appears to me is spirit
the Word as you know consists of many books

but to gain spirit means reading and conforming to the Word - the Word is Jesus the Son of God

ExecLine - 23 Feb 2012 18:44 - 15139 of 81564

I would take a guess and put my £5 on it, that gibby is obviously a member of the Plymouth Brethren. I would put £10 on it, that he is held in high esteem by his fellows, primarily because of his age and length of service.

This church 'movement', if I remember rightly, doesn't have any appointed clergy, and uses the term 'meetings' to describe their regular weekly gatherings.

The organisation is 'world wide' and is divided into at least two branches, the Open Brethren and the Exclusive Brethren.

gibby - 23 Feb 2012 18:47 - 15140 of 81564

exec i do not know them or wish to
