THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

ExecLine - 23 Feb 2012 18:53 - 15143 of 81564

Well, before I offer my apology, please tell me to what church or movement it is that you do belong.

And please don't just reply 'Christian' because I can't believe that you are a Roman Catholic and neither can I believe that you belong tho the Church or England. Neither do I believe you are a Methodist.

I'm sure you should be quite proud of your church or movement and, just like Daniel (in the lion's den) or the Christians slaughtered in the Roman ampitheatres, are quite brave enough to tell us which it is.

Or are you?

aldwickk - 23 Feb 2012 18:54 - 15144 of 81564

ExecLine - 23 Feb 2012 18:57 - 15148 of 81564

Gibby, do you believe (1) that Jesus Christ is the perfect friend?

So perfect, in fact, that (2) you could do anything to him and he would still forgive you for it?

Even so far as to crucify him? And (3) he would still forgive you for it?

ald ask me any scripture i will respond from the creation through the Word who is Jesus the son of God to present day and future - beware thogh the gliding serpant satan the father of the lie is among you i am sure he will disrepect me so forth here we go

ExecLine - 23 Feb 2012 19:01 - 15153 of 81564

It is (4) historically proven that Jesus did exist.

If you believe the above (1 to 4) and you also believe that (5) he definitely was the Son of God, then there isn't much else to believe other than that (6) God sent him down to earth so that he might die for us and (7) in his forgiveness towards us for his death, (8) redeem us of our sins and (9) thereby give us the gift of eternal life.

gibby - 23 Feb 2012 19:03 - 15154 of 81564

dc lol will make a cup now and a bottle of lucozade lett the insults fly i am ready

gibby - 23 Feb 2012 19:07 - 15155 of 81564

exec spot on Jesus who is also the Word and the son of God is correct

ExecLine - 23 Feb 2012 19:16 - 15156 of 81564

It is the believing in all of the above, that defines whether a person is Christian.

Now I don't believe any of this, other than that Jesus did historically exist.

There are basically two fields of thought:

1. That absolutely everything (ie. the whole Universe, etc) was created by 'God'.

This theory is the Creationist Theory.

2. Matter evolved out of 'absolutely nothing' in an event, commonly described as 'The Big Bang'.

This theory is basically called the 'Evolutionist Theory'.

ExecLine - 23 Feb 2012 19:21 - 15157 of 81564

Throughout the world, more and more people are beginning to side along with a belief in the 'Evolutionist Theory'.

Once we have some more real and concrete information from the Hadron Collider about the Higgs Boson, and how the field around this particle causes the origination of matter and gives mass to all particles, then we will then have utter proof and an utter understanding of it too, that the whole universe created itself out of nothing.

gibby - 23 Feb 2012 19:25 - 15158 of 81564

exec faith is not a possesion of all people it is writtten
