From the last trading update (7 October 2008)

Galleon Holdings plc (AIM: GON), the AIM listed entertainment media company developing and producing multi-platform properties with a focus on emerging markets, provides the following update on trading for the year ended 30 September 2008, prior to entering its close period and ahead of the announcement of its preliminary results in January 2009.

The Group has made good progress during the year and full year results are expected to be at least in line with market expectations.

The acquisition of Phoenix, at the end of the last financial year, and Yunbo, in February this year, have enabled us to make significant strides in rolling out our multi-platform entertainment properties in China and around South East Asia. Since the acquisition Yunbo has grown to become the tenth largest mobile service provider in China.

During the year we have formed operational relationships with several Chinese broadcasters covering different provinces across China. These agreements include co-production of Galleon's entertainment properties, Super Soccer Star and The Limit, syndication of the first series of Super Soccer Star, broadcast of Galleon's 'Play Along Gameshow' (PAGS) formats and interactive TV services, provided by Yunbo.

Galleon continues to build on the success of the first series of Super Soccer Star, which broadcast on Guangdong TV Sports Channel in China earlier this year. In addition to the syndication of the first series to other regions in China, Galleon is in advanced discussions regarding a second series of the show on a national platform across China. New series are planned for Malaysia and Indonesia, which are all expected to be broadcast during 2009. The US rights have recently been licensed to Dragonfruit Studios, an original content studio focused on multi-platform entertainment properties, which plans to launch the show in the US during 2009. In conjunction with the global sports sponsor of Super Soccer Star, Chelsea Football Club, Galleon is conducting negotiations in several other territories in South East Asia, Europe, Russia and the Middle East, building a global entertainment brand.

The Limit, an interactive, family-oriented shopping game show and Galleon's second show to air in China, is scheduled for broadcast in the Chinese New Year on Hunan Satellite, a leading broadcaster with a reach of 400 million homes.

Yunbo launches Chinese lottery mobile application

Galleon Holdings plc (AIM: GON), the AIM listed entertainment media company developing and producing multi-platform properties with a focus on emerging markets, is pleased to announce that its China based Mobile Service Provider, Yunbo, has launched a mobile phone application to enable lottery players in China to instantly verify whether they have a winning ticket.

Yunbo, the tenth largest mobile service provider in China, has already secured deals with lotteries in the provinces and regions of Hunan, Hebei, Shanghai, Jianxi and Heilongjiang, which collectively represent about 15% of the China Lottery market. Yunbo is in active negotiations to roll out this business into other regions.

There are two types of lottery played in China, the Welfare Lottery and the Sports Lottery, both of which offer a number of different games, some played on a daily basis and others weekly. Each lottery ticket costs RMB 2. The fee for subscribing to Yunbo's service is RMB 6 per month. In addition to checking lottery numbers, customers will also have access to an awards query service and a lottery number recommendation service, which allows players to access information about number frequency and statistical information.

Sales of lottery tickets in China have doubled in the last year growing from RMB 101.7bn in 2007 to an estimated RMB 200bn (US$25bn) in 2008. Current predictions are that China's lottery market will become the world's second largest lottery market after the US, growing by a CAGR of 31% to US$34.5bn, by 2010. Despite this, penetration of the lottery in China is still among the lowest in the world, providing significant opportunities for its continued growth.

Commenting on the potential of Yunbo's new mobile application, Galleon's Chief Executive, Stephen Green, said:

'Lotteries are fulfilling a major entertainment role in China. The profile of China's mobile phone owners and that of lottery players is a perfect match, and our mobile application brings this huge and dynamic entertainment medium straight to the consumers mobile. We are looking to roll out this service with other provincial lotteries across China.'

20 February 2008-Acquisition of Yunbo:

"The Acquisition is complementary to Galleon's strategy to become a leading
provider of multiplatform entertainment, based around interactive TV in China.
In October 2007 Galleon acquired Phoenix Investment Global ('Phoenix'), a
provider of interactive entertainment services to broadcasters in China. Yunbo
provides the mobile billing infrastructure for the product offering that Phoenix
delivers to its existing broadcast partners. The Acquisition will allow Phoenix
to retain the revenues derived from the collection of the SMS and mobile phone
revenues generated by Phoenix's existing activities."

20 February 2008-Acquisition of Wireless Interactive Platform Service Provider in China

2 April 2008-AGM Statement:

"We are delighted to inform the market that the positive trends outlined in our
annual report have continued into the current year resulting in an encouraging
half year for the Company. Revenues for the half year 2007/2008 will exceed that
of the previous full year.

Following the acquisition of the wireless service provider Yunbo, in China,
Galleon has established its position as a specialist in creating, distributing
and monetising cross platform interactive entertainment content throughout South
East Asia and China. Part of our strategy is to grow our pipeline into the
region through the interactive services that we provide to the broadcasters.
Currently we provide interactive services to 5 broadcasters and we aim for this
to be at least 10 broadcasters by the end of the year.

Strategically we will leverage this network and business model by co-producing
with South East Asian and Chinese broadcasters on mass market interactive
entertainment brands."

Commenting on the first half results, David Wong, Chairman, Galleon Holdings plc, said:

'The first six months of this financial year have been very solid as the Group moves into a profitable phase of growth. This is a huge achievement by the management which has generated a profit in a period when they acquired and then integrated Phoenix and Yunbo in China and South East Asia.

'It is evident that we are steadily executing our business model in the emerging markets, particularly in China. Each of our divisions has continued to gain momentum and this will continue into the second half of the year. We are excited by the opportunities that we see ahead of us.'

Chairman's Statement

We have been consistent with our strategy for the entertainment division, focusing on multiplatform entertainment and interactive revenue streams in emerging markets such as China and South East Asia. We acquired Yunbo, a mobile service provider in China, in February 2008, for an initial consideration of US$3 million. This has bolstered our ability to provide Chinese broadcasters a complete media solution for multiplatform entertainment, giving us total control over the interactive content, its delivery to the consumer, data capture and the billing process. We have continued to grow our footprint in the region supplying interactive entertainment solutions to several broadcasters in China and Malaysia. Interactive entertainment revenues for this period was £1.1m compared to £nil for the same period last year.

Current Trading & Outlook

The first six months of this financial year have been very solid as the Group moves into a profitable phase of growth. This is a huge achievement by the management which has generated a profit in a period when they acquired and then integrated Phoenix and Yunbo in China and South East Asia. We are fortunate to have excellent dedicated employees and managers locally in each of the markets where we operate which allows us to act efficiently, responsively and timely to our partners in this period of quantum growth.

It is evident that we are steadily executing our business model in the emerging markets, particularly in China. Each of our divisions has continued to gain momentum and this will continue into the second half of the year. We are excited by the opportunities that we see ahead of us.
