Perhaps. I don't know, but I'm not expecting it. I think if it were not in a trial period (and development) then yes, but I dont think that can be applied in this case. After all, ASDA must have realised that they were signing up to a product that hadnt been tested in a commercial setting.

Thanks for the e-mail, whoever sent it, but I can't reply cos I don't know who you are!!!

Why all the doom & gloom today? Was every-one expecting some sort of miracle. We all expected the results to show a loss.

I recall HW saying it was going to take 2/3 years before we started to see any positive results. Have held since 5p in the belief this co will become a global player & still see no reason to change that view. (AIMHO of course)

SEO , ASDA are trying to acquire 200 WOMD [ Greenseal ], ASDA [ Iraq ] we only want 2, SEO,we have a RNS that says you want 200 inside of a year and that poses a threat to other companys, SEO shareholders [ MP's ], SEO as sexed up the RNS. Oh well that passed a few minutes.

driver - 28 Feb 2006 11:51 - 15272 of 27111

Just In, The Result are a bit disappointing and there is confusion over the 2 machines currently being Commercialised SEO does need to be contacted to clarify, having said that we know this is a long term hold the future prospect for SEO are huge these shares are for the bottom draw, the sp will respond when the orders start rolling in.

Research page updated with these main points for the intro to the RNS.

51) Stanelco FY Results 28/02/2006

CHAIRMAN'S STATEMENT

The Board's strategy over the last year has been to continue the transformation of the Group from a manufacturer and supplier of capital goods into an
intellectual property business. This allows the Company to exploit the Group's core technologies in Radio Frequency Technology, RF Applications and
Biodegradable starch film material directed at the international packaging industry.

MANAGING DIRECTORS STATEMENT

The Group has been in a transitional phase, which is now coming to an end. There have been significant strides forward in this time with regard to GREENSEAL and our biodegradable product offerings, which are new, groundbreaking, innovative and exciting. The opportunities for commercialisation are substantial and as a result we have attracted the attention of some of the largest companies in the world. We believe 2006 will be the year that we commence full commercialisation of these technologies. In order to satisfy likely market demand for our biodegradable materials it will be necessary to build a number of manufacturing plants referred to as micro manufacturing facilities

I would like to give some indication of our potential market, especially in the US. We are evaluating one tray, for one customer that has a current usage of 1.5 billion units per annum. Each tray weighs approx 50 grams and therefore consumes around 75,000 tonnes of (non-environmentally friendly) plastic a year. It would require between 500 and 600 tray lidders to seal just these trays. We are able to offer a complete solution through the supply chain.

CHIEF EXECUTIVE'S STATEMENT OUTLOOK

In light of the progress on all fronts but in particular in relation to the commercialisation of GREENSEAL, Starpol and Biotec products we continue to view
the forthcoming year with optimism. We now have several major technologies and products, which are starting to reach their target markets.

Well then Bugz I would suggest you sell your shares (if you own any) and move on. I don't understand why anyone would keep posting how unhappy they are with a share, oh hang on, unless they have a short position. Never trust a shorter.

bosley - 28 Feb 2006 12:42 - 15274 of 27111

oh come on , biscuit!! being honest about a company, discussing its shortfalls and positives, doesn't mean you are short. if all we are going to do is go on about how wonderful seo is this bb becomes meaningless. the results are crap. we are promised more jam tomorrow. that was expected by all. what has really disappointed me and several others is the fact that there has been no further progress on greenseal. surely the machines had actually gone through testing before installation?? didn't asda do extensive trials before signing up to the commercial deal?? what the f*ck has gone wrong??? i did say that there have been no further announcements re greenseal because there have been no more conversions. i was wrong about that. in fact, there have been less than the 5 we got told about last bleeding august. the point i am trying to make is that it really doesn't matter about the jam tomorrow if seo cannot deliver today and that is being reflected in the sp. think about it. we have had one positive announcement after another and all the sp has done is bob between 14p and 18p. surely it's obvious that seo need to deliver on greenseal before credibilty is restored.
also, someone mentioned why there has been no further announcements re the asda/starpol trials. going off seo's past record they go very quiet when trials are not successful. it is looking likely that this is the case here. maybe this is what they were thinking off when they mentioned two steps forward one step back. that's how i see it.
in saying all this i did buy back in early this morning as i feel that most of the negatives are now out in the open and in the sp. the price has shown good support at around 14p and i also think it wont be too long before seo announce something positive to sweeten these results. there are a lot of positives, not least the advance discussions with walmart. hopefully we wont have to kiss walmart's arse for over a year like natureworks had to before a deal is announced.

driver - 28 Feb 2006 12:53 - 15275 of 27111

Bos
I cannot believe that there have only been two conversions I think it was announced a short while ago that there was seven, could it be that the two machines SEO are on about are purpose build machines and not retro fits after all.

I have email SEO for an explanation.

hewittalan6 - 28 Feb 2006 12:56 - 15276 of 27111

I've e-mailed the exact same question, Driver. Kim is phoning them too so perhaps we may get that one cleared up.
I am still convinced that commercialization is different to installing. If it isn't them I'm as ticked off as Bos.

spiket - 28 Feb 2006 13:11 - 15277 of 27111

According to CF3 on Advfn board from the new coverage by merill lynch

the 200 machines will be converted within the time period stated

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

jameshunt1985 - 28 Feb 2006 13:31 - 15278 of 27111

Interesting morning, I am of the impression that the two commercialised are different to the retro fitted machine. Obviously nothing to back that up with but it sure fuled a heated argument with hugs into University this morning! Hugs is a coursemate of mine and he was the one that introduced me to SEO in the first place, so I can assure you Biscuit He is not a shorter and I think you would be proud of his portfolio if you had, in the sheme of thing had was still a novice!!

Anyway back on track, had another thought, granted these packaging machines are large scale and granted there was a pause on tranversion just before xmas. I was thinking, could the two commersialised machines be for ASDA specifically, rather than one of their suppliers or associated companies? just a thought..

Looking forward to a reply from SEO, it will be good to clear the air and look forward to the next couple of weeks.

Hunty.

Just read an interesting Merrill Lynch analysis of SEO, they still consider the RF roll out to be only 2 months behind schedule plus show that 59.6% of SEO's stock is held by institutions (including 23% for The Age of Reaso Foundation. Anyone else going to the AGM?

sellsell - 28 Feb 2006 14:24 - 15280 of 27111

sharesure can you say what the general tone is of the merrill analysis. positive or negative

Sharesure - 28 Feb 2006 14:33 - 15281 of 27111

sellsell, Very positive; more so than I expected it to be. I am a firm long term holder and will probably buy yet more when incoming funds allow and provided SEO haven't shot up in the meantime.

sellsell - 28 Feb 2006 14:35 - 15282 of 27111

thanks, hope seo can now start to fulfill the potential. i will stay long until at least the interims

jimward9 - 28 Feb 2006 14:44 - 15283 of 27111

From my experience, there is no way these packaging firms would stop these machines before Christmas to change them to Greenseal, each one will have to be modified, tested, then run on production and so on. When the packaging firms gain confidence in you, then they will let you take the next ones to be started, sooner.
I for one am not surprised at all, that it took this long to change these first few machines, but when they get going, they will soon knock them out.
SEO are only just moving from development to production it takes time.

driver - 28 Feb 2006 14:58 - 15284 of 27111

Mmmm now were does this bit go?

aldwickk - 28 Feb 2006 14:59 - 15285 of 27111

Its not the packaging firms is mainly the food suppliers who seal the product and they increase production to the super markets just before the christmas shut down, so that they can clean the whole production area and carry out maintenance on the machines.

jimward9 - 28 Feb 2006 15:15 - 15286 of 27111

Many years ago I worked for a company that won a contract to modify some packaging machines.
1st machine modified, 1 month, put back in production, 1 week later few teething problems sorted, machine in use for a month ok.
Order to modify 10 more.
2nd machine 3 weeks, machines 3/4/5 two weeks each.
Machine 6 did the same job supplied by the same firm completely different. Machines 7 to 10 all different and took up to 8 weeks each to sort out, when we got them, because they were at a busy time and could not take them out of production.
We had the same thing with other firms whose machines we modified, but when we got into it 1 or 2 machines week.

Bugz - 28 Feb 2006 15:34 - 15287 of 27111

Biscuit

Yeah whatever. I spend my days looking at ways to make out I'm long, but of course in fact i'm short. I'm just stupidly overweight in SEO and pissed off coz its not doing what it said on the tin. I dont think that makes me a shorter.

I'm also questionable of this two months behind with Greenseal at ASDA. So at the end of december we were only supposed to have two converted? The other 198 can be done in the same period from Jan-July? I appreciate your views Jim on teething problems etc, but its still a bit crap! Anyway, it was always going to be a bumpy road etc....

Nice work with getting back in Bos-you've done well on the price. Wish I'd picked my main batch up at 14p!
